Short but sweet fetch quest game with a cool art style (cartoon sprites on photographed backgrounds, like in the cover art).
Мужики, спасайте, если наберём 10 лайков и 5 наград, то жена подарит ящик пива
this is a lovely little game and i find it interesting to play in 2024. im one of those who believe covid isn't over, but i can't deny 2020 was special. in my case, it was special in a pretty bad way. i'm sure i would've loved to find this game back then, but i think it's a very good de-stressor today too. what this game captures particularly well is that feeling i get on hikes or simple walks, of behind in my own head. also this emotional state i was in during lockdown. doing things alone that i'd usually do with friends, having somewhat dry text conversations with them to catch up, having conversations with complete strangers, all things i'd do when i had the energy to. ambiance is great too. sound is important to relaxing experiences. this was done well. im kind of stunned to find out that it didn't make more of a splash. ah well. props to the devs

Tree Trunk Brook, pandemi sırasında yürüyüş yapmayı konu alan küçük bir macera oyunudur. Yolları takip edin, fotoğraf çekin, arkadaşlar edinin ve kayıp eşyaları bulun. Ziyaretçi merkezi kapalı ama yol açık. Sosyal mesafe yürürlükte ve maskeler zorunlu.
Whilst made for the covid pandemic, the sense of community and joy of nature remains relevant long after lockdowns ended. A game that wonderfully captures some of the emotions of the every day, and for someone who struggles to get to nature this is a good reminder of why I should make the effort to go more often.
Very sweet reflection of hiking during the pandemic - playing this game reminds me why I loved hiking so much too :)
If you're looking for a game to chill with, this is a good one. There isn't much in terms of story, but I don't think it needs to be. I think the people that will especially like this game are those who don't have much access to nature. I think it'll help fill that void temporarily. The environments don't feel repetitive as each path you can hike feels distinct. The achievements are also pretty easy to get, and if you're looking for something to add to your list of perfect games on your profile, this will help too. Although, it'll take some time as this is also a slow game. Overall, it's a good game to play and I recommend trying it out.
A very wholesome, relaxing, and adorable game~ Achieved 100% completion and a bit too short to be honest! Interactions with the other hikers were interesting and relatable. The photo-taking aspect was cute, and helped to remind me to take it slow and just enjoy the little things nature has to offer. It's easy to play, even for a person like me, who is quite bad at directions. The sounds and music were amazing! I actually spent more than 2 hours just listening to the chill music and soothing ambient sounds of the trail as I was doing other stuff~ It may be a bit boring and monotonous at times because you'll be walking the same trails over and over again, but it was still very enjoyable!
Nice scenic hike through the woods, with a cool art style. This definitely captures a snapshot in time of the COVID era of human history...social distancing and masks outdoors, wow. Being able to pick up trash and take pictures is cool. It's a little weird that every NPC has lost something along the trail and is looking for it, but it's a game, and games sometimes sacrifice realism for gameplay functionality. "The Sheep's Meow" is pretty good as far as names go, too. I don't normally notice game dev names but this one had a nice logo and intro animation for it.
"Tree Trunk Brook" is a little Flash tier 2D walking sim/adventure game themed around the pandemic and social distancing era. You wander around, pick up stuff, find things, find photo scenes, that's about it, really. I'll admit the theme is charming but also a little sad as it does remind us of that dark time, a lot of people got sick and didn't make it, TV got weird (when they could even make it), and oh yeah, we were all stuck inside for a while. Games, however, are more than just a theme, and this doesn't offer a particularly deep and rich gaming experience, or much lasting value for gamers, either. This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, that's nothing.
