This is Original Route . just Relax let The train run and watch Ocean of Horizon .
For it's age, the Surfliner route is simple and relaxing to drive. Comprising of mostly single track, you have no traffic to worry about except the cars you pass by on the I-5. Enjoy the sun and ocean at your own leisure. Tons of nostalgia as a SoCal native.
Cool route. Very fun and my first DLC for TS2021.
Great game. Can you update San Diego Route? Because in real life this route now has more stations. And can you add San Diego trolleys? The trolleys are Siemens u2, Siemens sd100, Siemens s700, and Siemens s70.
I want my money back. I spent 20 dollars on a route that doesn't even load half the time, and crashes my game the other half of the time. I don't expect much from games and their DLC, the bare minimum is for them to work, yet this DLC somehow fails this simple, critical requirement! HOW?! I have a decent gaming laptop that can handle most performance-heavy games and their DLC, but how it can't handle a decade-old route right out of the box without any mods is beyond me.
Eh, a prime example of "meh." Around 60 percent of the time, the route works alright. The rest of the time.... you guessed it. The ever famous "Out of Memory" error that DTG refuses to do anything about. Surprise. If you can live with gambling whether the route will load every time, then it is an alright route. Nothing wildly spectacular: typical, relatively flat, quick-ish commuter route with some freight operations attached as kind of an afterthought. The included rolling stock is major "meh," F59 and matching surfliner cars that you probably already own in a different paint scheme. Credit where it is due, however. The route IS over a decade old, so a lot of what it has was pretty nice back then. Today, though, it's aged like sour milk. The rolling stock reused for every american commuter, and the assets that certainly show their age. Check it out on sale, as it ain't bad on sale.
If you are bored with most of USA routes where you drive slowly throughout the desert then pick up this one. Pros: 1) It's a whole route of a real life train from Los Angeles to San Diego (real life schedule can be found online) 2) It's passenger 3) It's pretty fast (up to 90 mph) 4) It's varied. From city center through nice looking coastline to some desert parts and one slow moutain climb, both two and single rail parts 5) We get a loco cab and also steering wagon cab for a return journey Cons: 1) The loco is pretty basic 2) I think that signaling is a bit messed up, on single track parts there are no advance signals before junctions, we only see restriction on the main signal, which is often too late to brake To summarize - a must have pick for USA region especially if you are not that much into slow and one mile long trains in a desert scenery.
This is quite good, even though there is no freight, it is still cool, the Amtrak F59 and cars are just like real life, and getting the FULL line is just nice.
