Tower VR is a virtual reality based tower defense game. It is a strategy game where you open the monster gate and build and upgrade the tower by selecting the appropriate location and type to stop the monsters from running all over the place. But Tower VR is not just a strategy game.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. Copies below reflect the player base, not paid sales.

No walkthrough that I saw, gives you challenges after finishing the level without telling you what they are or pointing where you could figure it out. Using Index it puts you on a tilt for your view (and made me a bit nauseous personally). When you click something, can't click away from it without selecting something else (on index at the very least)

Good design, looking forward to see what else this group creates. I am not sure if is my index controllers are causing issues or something else. Just a tad buggy on my system. After I finish a level it periodically will not let me click the finish button. It is free so I am not complaining. any chance a setting turn turn off the music? All in all, great job.
Basic point and click, no options I could see, got to lvl 3 crashed again ! Controller movement nill could be ok if more effort was used
needs a lot of work but I love the idea keep working on it
Couldn't even hit the play button after the 2nd or 3rd stage. Even got it on stream.
Good at first untill u get stuck at a toqer and cant do ♥♥♥♥ just stand there and lose '-' 3/10 not pog

"Tower VR" is a pointless VR tech demo from a Korean mobile app developer who decided that because TD games aren't very popular, this could be fixed by giving them worse graphics and making them VR exclusive. This lead to a complete failure on Steam Direct... a generic and soulless TD with no advantages from VR exclusivity, and generally bad design with a slew of unfixed bugs and jank. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 10 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? I can't recommend this, it's not worth downloading even if it's "free". Games don't exist in a vacuum... Steam gamers have literally thousands of better choices.
