I've spent about 10 minutes in the actual game and 3 hours and 20 minutes making my own adventure game. For those that think that choices don't matter, they are 100% wrong, the editor is so deep that you can make a whole new game based on you just going left instead of going right. You can create what seems like unlimited amount of branches to your choices. For example, let's say I was fighting a dog, and the dog bit me. I'd go to the hospital, I'd play the rest of the game with a dog bite and what that specific story meant for someone with said bite. Let's say dodged the bite, then the dog would continue on it's path and might bite someone else, which means that someone else could blame you for it and then he can sue you. Let's say you did a pre-emptive kick to the dog, then the police would come to you and you would be known as an animal abuser for the rest of the game. But it gets deeper, what if while walking around with a bite on your arm a lady approaches you and tells you she has medicine. Maybe you take the medicine, maybe it makes you grow an extra leg, now the serious game you were playing turns into an altogether comedy because now everyone is going to notice you have a 3rd leg. The game can go on and on and on like this. As far as making stories go with some meaning to it, it's kind of perfect, but maybe I haven't hit any limitations so I wouldn't know. The editor is extremely easy to use, I made a story called Domestic Dispute, it's a comedy and not about domestic abuse at all. I recommend it to all if you want to see what this game can do, it has integrated steam workshop support and your imagination is the limit. It's very cheap, buy it!

Cool Adventure gamebook. Story is entertaining and well written. Music is relaxing and very fitting. Graphics are simple yet effective (the important is to pay attention to the story anyway). I managed to get to the final encounter but I wasn't prepared for it so I got my butt kicked :). Combats are a nice addition and I wish there were more of them, although it took me a few failed encounters to get my head around them. I haven't tried the editor or the multiplayer or any of the other modes, but having the option there is a neat touch. It almost made me create my own story using the editor after playing this one. I just can't write but I'll keep an eye out for other people's stories. All in all, $2.99 well spent.
If you love making choices that don't seem to matter and all that does matter is 100% RNG, this might be the game for you. However, even with that, the game suffers from extremely vague descriptions and not nearly enough choices. For example, often times the rooms will describe several paths but only give you one or two options. When I fixed the first enemy, an imp, I had only one option. Fight. Why can't I sneak away? Why can't I run or turn around and leave? This is just lame. It looked interesting in the trailer, but there is a lack of depth combined with what feels like just 100% RNG when in a fight and it's obvious that YOUR CHOICES DO NOT MATTER AT ALL. Sorry dev, but you're going to have to give us much more than this is make a compelling game that's worth even the $5 launch price point here. NOT RECOMMENDED. Roll a dice on your table. If you roll a 5 or a 6, you win, if you roll a 1 or a 2, you lose, and if you roll a 3 or a 4, you tie. That's about all this game is and rolling a simple die on your table would be about as much fun and cost you nothing.
Beautifully designed game with lots of potential given the ability for people to craft their own stories and place them in the workshop for others. I could see this really taking off. I look forward to more content and maybe creating a few of my own. My only issue being the combat, which not being used to D&D type combat I'm not sure if it's me just not understanding it or missing something, as it appears totally random with no way of judging your opponents strategy, strengths or weaknesses and adapting your response to those ... which leaves it feeling all rather pointless. Do any of the combat choices actually matter or is it all just down to the roll of the dice? [EDIT] Was me misunderstanding it, as explained by the Developer. Had totally missed the feedback via the horizontal bar to the right of the attack buttons ... all good!

Fun story-driven game. Really captures the feeling of those old "choose your own adventure" books. Can't wait to see where this game goes with more stories and the editor ! Keep up the good work.

Legit one of the Worst games I've seen in this Genre. Bad Story, Confusing combat system, Incredibly bad UX and Ugly GUI, definitely didn't spend a penny for Graphics... Fellow Gamers, Just... keep out. play other games. 0/10
