Tokyo,,,
Before I played Tokyo Detectives, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
The translations are pretty rough, the mysteries aren't that engaging, and the game crashes a lot.

Basically a ♥♥♥♥ version of Ace Attorney, plus you have to pay to carry on the case which sucks
Bad
Tokyo Detectives offers an intriguing storyline with captivating characters and immersive settings. However, the game suffers from slow pacing and occasionally clunky controls, which can detract from the overall experience.
Very nice game. One complaint would be sometimes the English is not the best in the subtitles. Other than that i have enjoyed playing so far. I feel like each story to buy the DLC is very reasonably priced.
有3个案子,每个案子都是要dlc付费之后才能打完全程,游戏里就有标,没玩到最后,但案子剧情啥的没有太大问题但略显平淡,但是一个案件就要15y个人认为性价比不是很高
"Tokyo Detectives" isn't a game. It looks like an e-book dumped on Steam masquerading as a game, but it's not that either! This is an advert! This is just the "try before you buy" intro to some cringe fan-fiction, and the "author" expects you to pay money for the rest... imagine paying money for someone's high school anime club dropout fan-fiction. Ugh. This is never okay. As an advertisement for a visual novel, this has no notable gameplay. It's just clicking through badly written, cringey fan-fiction tryhard dialogue that wouldn't be accepted in print by any real book publisher. How did such garbage end up on Steam? When failed authors can't get published in print (and possibly laughed at by publishers), they spend $100 to dump their high school fan-fiction e-book onto Steam under the guise of a game... but this time they made the conscious choice to try mislead gamers with this incorrectly published demo. To prove the author of this garbage e-book and corresponding advertisement is abusing the free section of Steam for the purpose of marketing garbage, here's the correct process that the author deliberately did not follow: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos The e-book that you have to buy through DLC truly is puke-inducing garbage. It's a high school anime club dropout fan-fiction about the author and his variety of imaginary anime girlfriends... I mean, if you're going to pretend you have a girlfriend and you use Steam Direct to do it, why stop at one imaginary girlfriend? This was made using the Ren'Py e-book construction kit, which lets people who aren't developers create godawfully bad e-books that they then pretend are actually PC games. Just like no real writing talent was involved in this garbage, it's no surprise that no real software development happened here either. Ren'Py is just a shortcut for polluting the store with non-game e-book garbage. Visual novels/e-books are the worst way to try read a book (and they're always written far worse than real books too). Imagine reading your favorite book, be that War and Peace or The Davinci Code (are you ok??), but you have to click the mouse for every single sentence that appears. You'd hate it. It's a garbage way to try read a book... and even if it wasn't, this still isn't a game. Now imagine that clicking experience, but with utterly cringe anime club fan-fiction writing. If the author had any talent, this would be published in print on bookshelves. Instead, it's here on Steam. This garbage only ended up on Steam because they paid $100 to self-publish since no real publisher would take them. There's no reason for this to be on Steam when it could just be a webpage... e-books are just a bunch of cringe text and (usually character generator created) static 2D imagery. You don't buy an expensive gaming PC to use it for something your web browser can do for free. In terms of public reception, this having no up-front cost still didn't help. SteamDB stats show this peaked at a tiny handful of readers and then cratered. With a peak count of just a dozen or so readers, it's safe to say the PC community wisely decided to ignore this. This isn't a game and it's not even a complete book. It's a badly made advertisement for fan-fiction. E-books aren't games, and neither are advertisements. You deserve better than being advertised to. These taking up space on the store is harmful to real developers who make real games.
