About
Tiny Tree Talk is like a warm retro hug for the brain. It's a self-paced creative sandbox where you build bonsai dioramas. The game is centered around chill nostalgic vibes, a wholesome in-game forum, and player autonomy. There are two game modes:
Join a fictional bonsai forum and complete diorama requests in a self-paced Campaign Mode. Enjoy the wholesome and old-school forum vibes, chat with characters, customize your profile, and help members with their requests as your reputation grows and you unlock new props and items.
Or unleash your creativity in Sandbox Mode with full access to all the tools and assets. Sculpt and paint the 3D terrain, place props with satisfying precision, add moss to props, and more.

Grow and shape bonsai trees. Plant them and make them your own by twisting, pruning and growing branches, or by scraping your initials into the bark. Explore a curated selection of classic bonsai like Black Pine, Red Maple and Cherry, as well as romanticized western ones like Oaks and Willows.

Tell a story and build beautiful miniature scenes with a wide range of tools and almost 1000 props. Make a fairy-light cottage core garden, a stoic Japanese shrine, a witch's cabin, or anything else that crosses your mind. Change the season, brush on some flowers, hang up some fairy lights, and make the scene your own. Create a diorama from scratch in Sandbox Mode, start with a template, or play the Campaign quests to get some inspiration, progression, and dioramas to build upon.

Get a fresh start and find a new sense of belonging as you join TinyTreeTalk․net, a fictional old-school bonsai forum. Create and customize your profile, chat with members, and help them with their diorama requests. Complete requests and grow your reputation on the forum to unlock new props, trees, quests, and profile cosmetics. Gain recognition and visit new locations as you progress. There is no time pressure, relax and progress at your own pace <3

Immerse yourself in immaculate vibes and mid-2000s nostalgia. Customize your soundscape with cat purrs, wind and rain, and unwind to an original soundtrack of chill lofi beats with four playlists, each based on one of Japan's four seasons.

Explore endless customization. Customize the aesthetics of the interface, your profile on the forum, change the diorama season, add moss to props, change their colors, and more.
Enjoy games where you build and decorate.
Enjoy creative freedom, but want quests and unlocks for inspiration and engagement.
Feel overwhelmed sometimes when starting from a blank canvas or like you run out of inspiration quickly.
Enjoy design tools that are easy to get into but have a lot of depth.
Love customizing absolutely everything <3
Like it when games let players create and share assets. The game will launch with basic Steam Workshop support.
Are expecting a game where you nurture and take care of bonsai. In this game you mainly shape them. You don't water the bonsai, maintain their roots, etc.
Want an idle or incremental game.
Want a deep narrative and narrative choices. Here, the quests and forum have heart but are gameplay-centered. Narrative choices are limited.
Expect an actual forum with real-world people. You have the lovely Steam community, but there is no IRL TinyTreeTalk forum :')
Need total 2000s accuracy. We focus on romanticizing the vibes of the era and may deviate to introduce modern elements or retro stuff.
