A simple but fun top-down shooter to play during your lunch break. Outmanoeuvre tanks and survive by trading points for upgrades.

"Tiny Tank" is now removed from the app stores, but it's basically a garbage cash grab mobile app, a "cute hero tank shooter" where the idea is to buy tanks through a toxic cash shop on the app stores. What do you do in the game? Not much really, just ultra basic "shooting"... this shouldn't, by the way, be confused with the 199 Playstation game Tiny Tanks from Appaloosa Interactive that the developer is wilfully infringing the trademarks from. This looks a lot like it's partially asset flipped at least, there's no evidence, but the low quality of this garbage mobile app gives it all the same appeal as a lazy asset flip; none. This is a mobile app... it doesn't matter if this was ported to PC before or after the app store release, or even if this didn't even make it to the app stores. This is built for the absolutely lowest of all gaming platforms and must be judged as such... it's not going to give you a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That alone is enough to disqualify this from any recommendation. We don't spend thousands building gaming rigs so that we can pretend they're iPhones and play iPhone games and mobile apps. The graphics are lacklustre because this was designed for mobile phones, not gaming PCs. Whenever a product is designed to run tolerably on 5 year old iPhones, it's obviously not going to come close to the minimum quality standards that PC gaming enthusiasts except on their cutting edge gaming rigs. One more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. PC gamers don't spend thousands on their gaming rigs so they can pretend they're iPhones. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $1 USD for this mobile app. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. They also have their hand out for a $2 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money from buying empty DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. I didn't pay money, but I still feel ripped off.
