great game. but You really need a lot of imagination to get the most out of Timberborn and truly enjoy it. Timberborn is a sandbox at heart. If you lack imagination or prefer strict missions, this might not be for you. But if you like experimenting and designing complex water systems, it’s fantastic. I'm 16 hours in and still haven't reached 15 well-being, but the process of learning, failing, and rebuilding is super satisfying.

Been playing since the early access launch back in 2021, and I've loved every hour I've put into it. The game has a very simple premise but can become quite complex later on. The water physics allow you to create giant reservoirs and structures that are the backbones of keeping your colony alive, and each map is a different on how exactly to manage the limited space to do so without accidentally flooding your colony or running out of water. Resource management is also very important, with many sources of food to raise your beavers happiness alongside making sure you don't run into a building material bottleneck. I've had multiple runs where I've had to wait a lot of time for trees to grow and done nothing in the meantime while the droughts and badtides slowly become more intense, leaving me a little bit behind on progression. I initially didn't enjoy the badtide mechanic, but after learning the basics of redirecting water I've found it very interesting. The game isn't just about survival too, it's about making sure your beavers are happy. Multiple sources of food, leisure activities and decorations to keep them satisfied offer bonuses to their lifespan and their work efficiency, making overall progression faster for only a few resources. Overall it's a very fun game that I would recommend to people who like titles like Frostpunk.
Amazing game! On track to become my favorite city builder (and I really love city builders :))!

This is not just a game, its an education. I'm not feeling really smart, but I'm getting smarter. Love the game play.
