The Stronghold Collection

While no way in hell is this worth a retail price of $15, and is dated as all hell compared to other medieval colony type games that are far more relevant, this game for a time was a nice little game to have in your steam library that you pull out every once in a while to play. This is not an intricate and complex game similar to Medieval Total War, in fact its simplicity and face value makes it a nice little starter game into such a category for people who are first stepping into it. I had this game back when it was still sold on a CD ROM, managed to pick up a steam key for it, and have repeatedly dragged it out and played around with it for short bursts before shifting back to more complicated games.

Great gameplay, Great story, Great everything.

I wish for a proper remake to polish up rough edges but generally I really like how Stronghold 2 expands on castle building and economy.
