This and every other Pro feature is free until October 20, 2026. A free account is all it takes.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I want to love Stronghold 2...I really do. I was never an enormous fan of SH1, after getting that and Crusader on GOG years back I found myself almost exclusively drawn to the furious fire-centric action of Crusader more than anything else. I got this title on Steam because for reasons I can't bother to explore, neither this nor Legends seem to be available in that store. As such I now have duplicate copies of the first titles and feel somewhat obligated to rack up at least a few hours on my Steam account as well. I absolutely love the law & order system in this title. With a chain including a courthouse, torture guild and wide selection of medieval criminal justice tools, you must place guards about your properties in order to catch, railroad and then publicly torment petty criminals as a component of your population's obedience and happiness. It's fun to lay out an absurd assortment of gruesome devices, if only for the decorative value. The siege component is as you expect, stab, slice, hurl and tortch your enemies. Walls break, people die, things burn...it's Stronghold, right? An odd addition, which I have spent too muich time amusing myself with, is a smattering of invincible children to make the peasants seem realistic. The knockoff effect of this is that as you rain fire and stone down on the peasant population of casltes, only the children are left alive, sobbing for their fallen kin and enveloped in flames that never free them from their horrendous predicament. I'm not sure if that's better than having children die with their parents, or if perhaps the lack of children among the peasantry isn't perhaps the best approach. If you're a diehard castle builder than this is one of the best in the franchise. The Freebuild mode is fantastic, with the largest arrangement of possible structures and occupations present in the whole franchise. The combat is workable, enjoyable in the same way literally every Stronghold game is provided that medieval seige warfare is your delight. If you find other titles in this series cumbersome in the cognitive loading department, then this one will probably turn you off for it's build complexity vs the sophistication of its combat mechanics. If a whole lot of moving parts makes you happy, this is your game. For the love of Joan de Arc, somebody please mod in some orphanages for all those poor invincible children left abandoned in autosave files of nigh-obliterated castles on our drives.
Been playing this game since I was a kid. Probably the best Stronghold game in my opinion.

Для стратежки 2005 года, годно
The game force you to attack strongholds with a tiny army. And the control is junk, troops get stuck in the stairwells. The rule is, if you don't have absolute advantage, like 1000 against 100, you should NOT attack in the first place. It's realistic that, it's impossible to conquer a 100 men castle with only 40 men. This also means it's completely ♥♥♥♥ as a game. In the previous game the developer acknowledges that so they provides a cheat to get you through the siege levels. This one doesn't. Go for the original Stronghold, it's 10 times better.
