Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

Reviews
If you enjoy games that are a money grab, owned by a company that doesn't care about its player base, and is now filled to the brim with microtransactions then,,, The Sims franchise is just for you! I have been playing the sims on my grandmother’s computer pretty much since I came out of the womb before buying it for myself in 2022 or something. The fact that you could spend 2,300 AUD on this game yet still not have every piece of content is insane. 🙁
only good with mods... base game is really boring and the customization is honestly really lackluster and you need to pay for SO MUCH STUFF!!! mods make it more fun

The Sims have always been such a fun experience. You go in and create your own story and relax- have fun. I've always loved the Gallery so that I can download other people's creations. It's always been easy to see what content I was missing so that I can purchase it via their store. The Sims 4 is no longer a game. It is a marketplace- and a predatory one at that. It's like they took some micro-transaction crack and are trying to hook as many people as possible on this. Example: Instead of giving us a full Royalty and Legacy expansion pack- they gave us a partially baked one so that they could sell kits later- like Masquerade Ball Fashion and Masquerade Ballroom. There is so much content available now that it's overwhelming. You want to download this house? Well, it's missing this and this and that from this pack and that pack and spend as much money as you can give us. It sucked the fun out of the game. I've uninstalled it. I'll spend my game money elsewhere.
honestly... i had the best times on this game, but only due to the added content that others and the company made. i wasted SO MUCH money on this game, and if im being completely transparent.... its not worth it, its a free game for a reason, they knew they would make a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money on the addons. for the better of your wallet and your sanity.. do NOT get this game or buy any of the DLCs, you'll just want more after testing them out.
like most people i consider this game a souless cashgrab that i only play out of stockholm syndrome

Everything costs money. I'm sure you know it by now but Paralives is out and all simmers who are tired of EAs greed is moving over. They may still be in early access/ development right now but I'm switching over. I rather wait and stick with an indie team that cares about their communities feedback then stay with a company that has the resources to push out more and at a quicker pace but chooses to implement a paywall for every single thing. I wish I could get refunds on my packs.
they lock all new updates behind a pay wall, full game costs around 2 grand. Buggy mess
Such a great game, if you dont know what it is... have you been living under a rock? however to have a decent, immersive game you need to download a billion mods and pay out for game packs/ expansion packs etc. that said the vanilla game is alright.
