The Roach Hotel is what happens when you take “hospitality management” and replace the guests with nightmares that skitter, stare, and definitely know your search history. You boot it up thinking, “Okay, creepy hotel, vibes, maybe some spooky ambience.” Nope. Within minutes you’re doing unpaid overtime as the world’s most stressed-out exterminator, speed-walking through hallways like, “If I don’t look directly at the roaches, maybe they’ll respect my boundaries.” They will not. They do not. The atmosphere is immaculate: flickering lights, questionable carpets, and that distinct feeling of being somewhere you shouldn’t be… like a motel that charges by the hour *and* by the trauma. Every door you open is a gamble: * could be supplies ✅ * could be lore ✅ * could be a roach doing rent-free parkour on your soul ✅✅✅ And the sound design? Insane. I heard a tiny scuttle behind me and immediately accepted that my life was over. I have never been bullied by such a small creature with such big confidence. **Pros:** * Tense, creepy hotel vibes * Roaches have CEO energy * Makes you feel incredibly alive (against your will) **Cons:** * I now inspect corners like a detective * “Skittering” is my sleep paralysis trigger * I will never emotionally recover from Bathroom #3 10/10. Checked in for horror. Checked out with trust issues and a deep respect for pest control workers.
