Прикольная милая игруля для тех, кто любит много болтать в рпг. Очень жаль, что у игры так мало игроков и отзывов.
Originally a $3.99 game that went Free. I was expecting funnier conversations, while most of it just felt like rpg npc dialogue. The gameplay itself lost me after a few minutes.
Completely worth the asking price and than some, charming characters and a very unique setting. *stay tuned for more once i complete a playthrough*
Follow my curator page, Skeletons-play-Video-Games-too. if you like and want to see more reviews like this one. In-depth storytelling and the theater setting are the game's greatest strengths. However, the playability and replay value may be weak for some players. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended for those who want to dive into the world of theater! ▀█▀ █░█ █▀▀ ░█░ █▀█ ██▄ █▀█ ▄▀█ █ █▄░█ █▀ █▀▄ █▀█ █░█░█ █▄░█ █▀▀ █▀▄ █▀█ █ █░▀█ ▄█ █▄▀ █▄█ ▀▄▀▄▀ █░▀█ ██▄ █▀█ █░░ ▄▀█ █▄█ █▀▀ █▀█ █▀ █▀▀ █▄▄ █▀█ ░█░ ██▄ █▀▄ ▄█ ©️
wow, that was pretty good
혹시 재평가할 구석이 있지 않을까 싶어서 더 해봤는데 역시 이 게임의 의미도 목적도 아무것도 모르겠습니다. 여전히 인물의 이름을 알 도리도 없고.
"The Rainsdowne Players" is a poorly made 2D retro pixel comedy themed JRPG, which I guess is a break from your more usual high school anime club dropout fanfiction stuff you usually see in these kinds of games, for a comedy/theatre theme instead, which is worse. The "comedy" writing is pure cringe, not really substantively different from the aforementioned anime club dropout fanfiction stuff. There's a few minigames/puzzles etc etc, but given the absolutely godawful visual and technical implementation, it's no wonder this was a massive flop. Amazingly this is not an RPG Maker asset flip, instead, for some reason they used GameMaker Studio, which is trash and has never been responsible for a successful game. It's the kind of thing that's intended to teach some of the basics, and make small toys and demos to pass around with friends, and should never be used as a substitute for professional game development. So it's no wonder this was a dismal failure. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

It's literally free and quite short, so you don't have any good excuse not to try it. Nonetheles, this game's charme didn't quite get me. It alternate between a two button ability game in which you avoid different kind of objects (with different behaviour) from a croud and a more puzzly/analytical side in which you try to understand from dialogs with the public npcs what do they want to see in your plays. It's interesting, funny, but not my thing. Didn't really liked the pace alternations from "fast and furious" to "analytical guessing"
