WHAT IS THE CODE IM LOSING MY MIND I DONT WANT TO FIGHT HIM AGAIN?
Good
RPG Maker strikes again! "The Perfectionist" is one of the many low effort projects made with an easy-to-use construction kit made for children to use, in Kadokawa's own words, "These easy to use tools are simple enough for a child". It's a kitbash of asset flipped RPG Maker stock assets and cringe high school fan fiction. This RPG Maker asset flip is exactly what we expect from RPG Maker asset flips on Steam Direct, and suffers from all the same problems that lead gamers to widely shun RPG Maker and the fan-fictions made with it. This high school anime club dropout fan-fiction does differ slightly in that it's got an anime hacker/sci-fi theme instead of the anime fantasy theme. But the writing being all about the developer and his harem of imaginary anime girlfriends (you don't know them, they go to a different school, in Canada) remains the same, pure, weaponized cringe. As with all RPG Maker games, this is the result of a really bad game engine being misused. Like all RPG Maker "games", it looks bad in fullscreen and lacks HD support or graphics options. This is not acceptable for modern PC gamers. The argument must be made that construction kit toys like RPG Maker are intended for making small games, toys and demos to pass around with friends, and should never be used as a substitute for professional game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware, the game uses low quality 2D "retro" pixelcrap art and has bad gameplay. RPG Maker is garbage and never results in products with any real value as PC games. This game is fairly dated at 7 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free, that was a dismal public reception. But if you take into account the problems I bring up in this review, it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. This "free" game won't count toward your game collection count on your profile. With that in mind, is it something you should still download? Not on a bet. This might be "free", but I still feel like I got ripped off.
This is a great little game with lovable characters and lots of little mini-games included. Disappointingly, I've got stuck near the end and can't quite finish it. If anyone knows where the Robot Assembly Keycard is, do let me know!
I was enjoying this game after searching many RPGs on Steam and only a small amount of those are mouse enabled. So I was glad to find this game. BUT, I HATE races, and the Hacking mnigame is essentially a race. Needless to say, I am uninstalling and moving on. Sad, it was great up until that point.
This is a rpg-maker game with puzzles. You are a bounch Dillan and you want to escape this testing facility or torture chamber, which ever one you prefer. You got alot of difference challanges and the story is good. The allies are likable if not alittle one note. It also takes a while to complete for a free rpg-maker game. The music is decent. The game crashed on me and froze to. In many challanges you can't save so you will need to read the entire thing again. I got a problem where the pause button stopped working. There are no achievements, badges or cards. This is a lenghty game with some problems like being alittle too crypic since no one seems to have given tips or anything about it. The game freezes and crashs sometimes, the saving ban in some parts are really annoying if you are having problems with one part. You will mostly just be fighting the same type of enemys, with some bosses in there. It has multiple endings and seven party members in total, but you can only use three at a time.If this sounds ok for the prize of being free then try it. Have fun, enjoy and boop-it :)
THIS GAME IS SOOOOO STUUUUUUUUPPPPIIIIDD!!!!! WHEN ON CATHERINE FLASHBACK WHENEVER YOU GET CAUGHT, YOU BACK TO SQUARE ONE!!!!!! AND SERIOUSLY WTF THE BUG!! I HAVEN'T MOVE YET AND SECURITY ALREADY CAUGHT ME? COME ON DEVELOPER!!! MAKE SOMETHING RIGHT!!!!!
