The Outlast Trials

It's sad to see a generative AI disclaimer for this game. Unfortunate, because I really loved the Outlast single player games but I can't support slop. Video games are supposed to be made by real artists with creative minds, not soulless prompts copying other people's honest works.

I really love this game, but the fact that they use Generative AI really disappointed me to the point where I have uninstalled the game and do not intend on re-launching it anytime ever, I even was trying to convince my friend to buy it, who pointed out the Gen AI usage and that convinced me to uninstall it.

Bought this before I knew genAI was used.

Finally uninstalled with the removal of mod support. I don't play competitive modes and never will, yet I have to be punished equally for modes a hand full of players or try hard influencers give a ♥♥♥♥ about. It also really didn't have to go down like this but apparently Red Barrels is so taken to vibe coding they couldn't just code mod support to be disabled if you join a ranked mode. Gone are the little graphics or audio mods that made the game silly or fun, got to cater to the people that have not realized yet you topping that leader board isn't going to get your ♥♥♥♥ wet. To be honest the game has been in decline for awhile now. It just didn't have the lasting appeal the company wants it to have, its something you come back to now and then and have some fun. But they got infected with the daily tasks disease all live service games feel they need now and its just not enjoyable, would much rather go at things when I want to, not when the company says I should. Steer clear and I wouldn't even suggest this game at a discount.

Intense horror game packed with scares, gore, and fun

I absolutely love this game but the fact they use ai has thrown me off this game completely, if the ai art is ever removed and replaced with real art I might come back to this game but sadly I don't see them ever changing it.
