As a concept/idea? Fantastic and intriguing that is ripe for potential Execution? A joke, non serious, youtuber bait type of game that you can beat with all endings in under 1 min, 2 min if first time. It does give off early 2010 horror vibes with the low poly style and the "scares" but the title of the game + the games cover was incredibly intriguing it reminded me of "Last Bus Home" from itch.io and was expecting something similar to that and it's a shame since this fantastic idea was wasted on a joke game.

"The Man in the Park" is a godawful joke or something, it's a 2 minute long jumpscare simulator with game assets so bad we can be sure it's not an asset flip... because no self respecting asset creator would publish them. All you do is go to a park at night in first person perspective, then get jumpscared. That's it. There's youtube videos with more gameplay than this. The game is quite short, and can be run through in just 2 minutes. The lack of content here makes it hard to suggest it's worth spending the time to add to your library and download. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? What's the verdict? Nope. I didn't have to pay for this, but I still feel like I got scammed.
10/10 would recommend, the lore in this game is absolutely insane and goes so in depth you can hardly comprehend it. I still have nightmares about the absolutely terrifying jump scares that are in this game, they are seriously no joke. Only play this game with people around and the lights on. I have 10 hours on a game that takes 2 minutes to 100%. This is sad. I have devoted my life to speedrunning this game on speedrun.com for absolutely no reason.

Timmy bit me.
超短編ホラーでした。 エンディング分岐もありますが物凄く単純で簡単です。 オチとしてはまぁそうだよねって思いました。 ジャンプスケアは思いっきりビビったので苦手な方はご注意ください。
the game was too hard. (couldnt touch timmy)
