The Long Dark

Easily one of the best games I have ever played in my life. I started many years ago, and I have around 1000 hours in game. I mainly played survival until the recent-ish drop of the final episode in the Wintermute Story and I am glad I waited because the patience I'd have needed would be insane. That being said, if you want a game that has lots of replay-ability, a really good level balance, beautiful visuals, compelling story, and a team that still takes time to address its community and has more in the works for us fans. A couple things I should mention to first time viewers/players, this is a very slow paced game. While you are actively doing things the entire time, between crafting, traveling, hunting, surviving, cooking, etc. Most of the game is spent walking. Finding new locations, gather materials, harvest and repair and cook to keep your weight down because you do have to think of that and there is no fast traveling. And when you are first learning the game and the maps you'll be in for a learning curve. Not that its difficult but there is a lot to remember. It is very clear cut and going through the story definitely helps to learn some maps and give you context to why all of this is happening. Some glitches but not like it used to be. Saving is also very difficult and sometimes glitches happen so something to keep in mind. But if you can get into this, you'll love this game. Underrated and Hinterland is the absolute best. To Hinterland, thank you so much. A game that stands for anti Ai, who still encourages us to maintain and cherish wildlife, and for me personally, providing an artic escape that I constantly finding myself saying "I wish I lived there." Beautiful soundtrack, beautiful game and story. You deserve all the praise and I hope your company succeeds with any venture you take.

Recommended because: - Runs really good even on maxed grafics settings - really good mechanics/easy to learn - really cool random encounters/u never now what could happen next Conclusion: 9/10 in my opinion atleast

Used to play xbox version, moved over to pc and yeah, gorgeous graphics and fun gameplay.
