The Legend of the War Axe

The Legend of the War Axe is an Unreal based low poly third person brawler that looks pretty much like a Russian asset flip. Gameplay consists of wave survival brawling a bunch of low poly asset store enemies that come at you in waves. There's also a multiplayer option, but this is impossible to validate because nobody plays this game (for good reason!). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The Legend of the War Axe didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is reaching the first boss (easy to do), and only around 22 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game, less than half the players. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game only ever reached a peak player count of only 4 players. That's right, only 4. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. The Legend of the War Axe has the total ripoff price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games, let alone the sheer number of free games available on Steam. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

Если надумаете сыграть, то придется искать компанию или покупать игру друзьям или бегать в одиночном режиме и рубить ботов, но это скучно.

Прикольные и достаточно динамичные pvp сражения на аренах с cредневековым вооружением. Разнообразие персонажей, оружия и арен присутствует. По скидке и для хорошей компании друзей подойдёт для совместного веселья...

Экшен PVP арена с мультяшной картинкой в которой присутствует разнообразие персонажей с разным оружием и так же уровней, в аренах как и везде наша цель одолеть соперника, немного сыровата но в целом палец вверх.

Онлайн мертв, цена на игру завышена. Сама идея может и неплоха, но есть к чему стремиться.

Кривоватый ПВП файтинг со слабым он-лайном, не удобным управлением и примитивной графикой в стиле японских настолок. Своей полной цены не стоит, брать по скидке. Но поглумиться с друзьями можно.

Not the best graphics but that is not what it is trying to be. The piggys are demons BEWARE! Probably more fun if you are drunk tbh. Overall not bad had fun for about 20 minutes. 3.1/10.

Не спокойно в этом вымышленном фэнтезийном мире, где царит хаос от количества PvP битв. Нам дают возможность выбрать одного из десяти героев, различных по стилю и способностям, чтобы сразится с врагом или другим игроком. Разработчик обещает пополнять игру различными новыми героями, чтобы был выбор для каждого по душе. Бои происходят на одной простой созданной локации, персонажем управляем от третьего лица, управление интуитивно простое.

Симпатичная игра, ориентированная на мультиплеер, но именно это и является основным ее недостатком. Онлайна в ней нет и без компании друзей поиграть в ней решительно не с кем. Геймплей состоит в участии в соревновательном матче в различных режимах в духе "стенка на стенку" или "каждый сам за себя" на небольшой арене. Выбираете один из нескольких доступных классов и пытаетесь найти сопе.. выиграть. В целом вот и всё об игре, графика не топовая, но вполне симпатичная, жаль без онлайна делать в игре нечего от слова совсем.

Вас ждет большое количество разных персонажей, интересных локаций в виде арен, достойная графика с уклоном в мультяшность. Меня удивила оптимизация, отличное управление и иные мелочи, что превращают геймплей в радостный досуг. Осталось найти большое количество соперников, но благодаря удачным наборам игру можно урвать за доступные деньги. Иными словами, друзья, крепитесь, берите, сразимся. [list] [*] Есть достижения!
