Don't bother buying this game you see the complaints about hackers/bugs then get suggested to the unofficial servers where you see fun and silly clips about bosch island servers where you have proximity chat just to get perm banned immediately out of the server within the first few weeks to month playing while learning the game and people. All because the people that are actually breaking the rules in the server and setting that example to new players and instigating them to be pinned as a rule breaker, because they are friends with the mods/admins OR helping advertise their server. Regardless of the proof and clips you have they will perm ban you despite their layout on how they handle offenses and say you are not welcome in the community. Then you start getting dm's and tagged openly by those people bragging about you taking a punishment for even having a problem with them or out playing them. You get exploited and harassed in game - then dismissed when you make a ticket meanwhile they will take out of context information and use it against you to fit their narrative, because these friend and the mod/admins are now targeting you despite bullying and abusing power to get you to move out of a certain area of the map while gaslighting you that you and your group are the ones doing it even though you disengage or leave- guess who is coming after you still and watching you for hours to find something they can use the same people and the mods/admins- then BAM perm ban without them getting your side it is one sided and accusing behavior by the team itself - you was an issue for their friend in game- they ban you out of the discord server so you can't appeal because "admin say is final" you don't get to defend or clear up misunderstandings and issues- there was never a chance to do it because they say they can't talk about what is happening in other tickets yet somehow their friends (the same people you been butting heads with) that got you banned know all about the details of your tickets and punishment and flaunt it. There is no respect or protection for people being baited into purchasing this game to join a community that doesn't treat the player base with a reasonable judgement. Bosch and Gory takes no accountability for their staff because the players get blocked from being able to reach out to them by the staff themselves. Like what was said in the stream "the people that stay quiet" are more preferred to be playing in the server. It would be nice for unofficial servers to be held accountable for cheating the game by taking advantage of their roles for hosting it. Don't make it a public server if you are just going to block out players for just playing the game as intended.

Game is fun but takes FOREVER to grow in normal servers and when you get to a decent size you will just get taken out by another dinosaur with no fighting chance at all so game is basically hid from everything until you are big enough. They really need to add a way to fight back and get away as there are a LOT of hours waisted on stupid deaths that you cant do anything about. Also need to make it easier or a way you can do certain thing to grow faster as it is so slow especially when some take up to 30 hours to get fully big and you are wiped out in 7-14 hours wasting a lot of time especially if you play alone as the game isn't forgiving. Its an amazing game if you don't have real life commitments as you can then spend hours in the game learning it as it tell you literally nothing and waste you time growing and dying over and over but if you have commitments like work or family life then don't play expecting to get past the first 2-3 stages as it will take you weeks and YOU WILL DIE and can feel like a massive waste of time. If you do have IRL commitments then i suggest playing the unofficial servers that have faster growth.

I am leaving this as not recommended because while I have figured out what was wrong... there is NO EXCUSE for why it's been a pain in my rear. So fish DO spawn very rarely... I wasn't wrong... but there is a mechanic that unless you go out of your way and look up videos on the game you would likely never find... it involves moving up to a body of water and pressing G which only during the daylight lets you school fish and catch them. Now that I have solved my food issues i've been quite enjoying myself but the simple fact that one of the two ways to get fish is hopelessly bugged (and has been for a while) and the other is completely hidden to you without outside help (no prompt, nothing... could have been a prompt... I make games too... prompts are easy...) I want to like this game but I can't... Fish never spawn. Animals never spawn. The only thing that spawns while i'm a small dino is big dinos or deer that 1 tap me. Frogs are non existant. Fish are non existant. Everything that isn't a player that plays this game way too much is non existant. It's great in concept and I really really want to like it... but I can't. I've given it several tries over a few years and it's just not fun to play a game that actively doesn't want you to play.
