One character moves with WSAD, the other with the arrow keys. Both characters can run, jump, and double-jump. By quickly pressing the jump key, the characters can cling to the ceiling or overhead platforms and "fly" over traps and enemies. Lives are shared between both characters; if you lose all your hearts, you start the run from the beginning.

I completed the entire game, but unfortunately there are no achievements for it :s. It's certainly not a negative, but just an unpleasant fact. The platformer is fun and challenging, enough to play for an evening. For the price, it's acceptable. It's a shame I don't have any friends to fully experience the co-op mode, so I have to play through it with one character, then with the other. The music isn't top-notch, but it's not bad either.

A 2D platformer where you play as two characters, one above and one below, to reach the end of a level. You can control them alone or with a friend. Each character has their own traps, and if they die, they restart the level. However, this doesn't affect their partner, who remains in the same place. To complete the level, both characters must reach the finish line.

At face value it looks like just another GameMaker Studio pixelcrap platformer nobody wants, but any deeper inspection beyond glancing at the store page shows this is really one of those nasty "fake games". Heck, the asset flip is so lazy, there's an "About" section in the menu for the developer to put their name and stuff, and Atomic Fabrik just left it blank... that's how blatantly fake this is. Outside of that, this is just a collection of garbage stock pixelcrap assets dumped on a stolen GameMaker Studio platformer template, with fake paid reviews and an obscene price tag slapped on a fake game... yeah, this is a scam using review manipulation to defraud gamers into buying a fake product. This kind of fraud is actually illegal in a criminal sense. Gamesforgames have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Those technical flaws drag this game well below the minimum quality standards expected of a modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was [b]only 2 players[/b], and the worst part is these weren't genuine players, these were the Russian fake review accounts that the developer paid to make the fake reviews. Since the fake reviews are all done, now the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR § 465.4, 15 U.S.C. § 45), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.[/quote] This kind of asset flipping isn't harmless. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games from ethical developers. It makes it harder for genuine indie developers, who put hard work into trying to make real games, to find an audience for their products. It gives indie developers a bad name. So, should you buy this asset flip? Is this better than any of the 140,000+ genuinely made games on Steam? Of course not! The Inseparables has the laughable, eye-watering price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.

My brother and I could spend hours playing level after level, and even now, after all these years, I remember some of the challenging moments. This game brought back such a pleasant nostalgia. The cool gameplay and retro graphics make it perfect for two-player play. Quite a complex platformer with two characters. We take turns going through the lane for both of them, or you can call a friend for local co-op. Then it will be much more fun, but also more difficult.
