A very weirdly uneven game. Paradoxically, it feels like a load and love and effort was put into it, but then it was never actually play-tested. Like, they went to the effort of fully voice-acting the game, which is a lot of work and definitely deserves praise, yet as early as the second line of the intro of the game, the VA flubs the word "incident" ("i-insident") and they didn't think to do a second take. It's a fairly minor quality issue, but it would have been something very easy to catch and to fix, yet it and several other issues like it were just left in. Characters were statted out with unique skills and abilities, giving them all a different flavour in combat, but the enemies all seem to be identical and really weak. For example, in one dungeon you fight bat things and cat things and I couldn't tell you the difference between the two other than their sprite and name. Do they have different attacks? Different affinities? Is one type more of a tank and the other more of a support battler? I don't know. They never got a chance to attack as they all seemed to die with one hit and my turn always came first. These are annoying things, but all pretty forgivable. I was actually enjoying this game and intended to fully play through it to the end. I was probably going to come on here and give it a positive review along the lines of "It's a bit janky, but overall a fun experience", until I hit the freezing bug. The game will just randomly freeze in some battles and there's nothing you can do except quit and reload your last save. And since you can only save at designated points, that save might be a long time ago! It's just not worth the gamble of reloading when it might just freeze again once you've caught up to where you were. With that freeze bug in place, I just can't give it a good review. I understand it's a bit of an amateur project, but once you start charging money for a game a certain level of quality has to be expected and this is where it falls short. It's a genuine shame because I would be interested in playing this game through if only the game would let me.

I cannot recommend this game right now. The game crashes at random during battles a lot. And because you can only save at designated locations (not itself a bad thing), a game crash can force you to repeat long stretches of content. Hoping the devs do something to increase the stability of the game - I'm not the only reviewer who's noted crashes during battles. If the game didn't lock up, it'd probably be pretty good. but as it stands now, the game is not playable.
I can not recommend this game one bit. This game crashes more than it plays. Dont be bothered with this one. I have already submitted a refund request.
The Ino Chronicles is a game developed by a small studio named Chromethean Productions. Graphics : This game is 16-bit, 2D , old-school SNES like game. Of course, it's not always all time favorite style, but if you like 2D games, you can grab this. One thing this game may lack of characters movement/pose. but as long the story is well-writen, and the characters are interesting, it's tolerable. Gameplay : The battle system is : Final-Fantasy like ATB Battle system, pretty well balanced and no stress at all. Normal enemies can be beaten easily with no hassle, meanwhile bosses will take some time to beat . There are so many places to explore and this game is also rich of history and in-world explanations, which is remind me of Elder Scrolls Games. Music / Voice Acting : Voice acting is worthy , although some voices like Malrok doesn't fit for his characteristics, but this is better than no voice-acting, so I'll respect the developers for implementing this feature. although the music is overshadowed by the voice acting, it's still enjoyable to listen. Verdict : This game is good and the price is cheap for 30 hours of gameplay, I'll edit the review and give the full verdict later.
