For a free game, this one really impressed me. I loved the jump scares, the tension the music sets, the story line, and the puzzles I needed to solve to reach the end. I also loved how this game allowed for 3 separate endings, so it's different based on what you choose to do. It's a fun game with a creepy vibe, and the puzzles are designed to where you have to rely on your memory and your inventory. All in all, I loved this game. Very happy with what the devs did and how it all came together.
I played this game for almost three hours and half was because I didn't know what the heck I was supposed to do. That being said- it's a full game that works and has a story. I recommend it based on that alone after sorting through the free games on Steam. I don't know if that's damning with faint praise but I do think there's a peculiar charm here as well. I recommend with the suggestion to use the video guide when you get stuck and turn the brightness up if all else fails.

Absolutely outstanding game, Throughout the entire game play i was fully submerged in the story line. There is a fair bit to read however you can read at your own pace which was nice as didn't feel like you needed to rush. I i did find however that maybe a quicker walking speed would be beneficial. overall 10/10 game, Would fully recommend to other puzzle solving gamer's.
What an excellent puzzle game!! Can't believe this was entirely free. Loved the story, graphics and riddles to solve. Not impossible yet not too simple at all. Great job!

The House of E is a free puzzle/story driven horror game that is well worth getting. There was a few delightful surprises in the game as well (I won't spoil it for you). My only critique would be that I would have liked to seen a few more well-done jump scares, but that's just my preference and in no way affected how much I enjoyed the game. You can tell the devs put a lot of love into this game and I can't wait to see what they do next!
This game was great. First off, it's free. Most free games on here are garbage but this one was very well made. The puzzles were challenging but not too difficult to figure out. The graphics were excellent. Scary as hell! Very good plot too. If you are a scary game fan, you need to try this game. Be sure to hit continue in the main menu after you finish so you can see both endings. Well done and GG to the devs. Rating: 9/10
