I only played one of the games so far, but really enjoy the concept. Will update, when I played more. :)
The forgotten tapes: analog nightmares is a collection of, to be honest, rather amateur games, with the connection to all of them being analog horror themes and bad jumpscares. Here are all of the games reviewed individually. The Other One: A somewhat unremarkable trip through several tapes that make me wish there was some good audio to go along with this game that could've really helped the atmosphere, but as it is, the most memorable part of this game is the water splashing sound also used in Minecraft. UV Goggles: A game where you walk REALLY slowly through a surreal house-like environment. I get the walking speed is supposed to add dread, but for as long as this game lasts as well as the backtracking, especially when you die, makes it not very good. Bobo's Quest: Some good audio work in this game, played in a third person perspective too, which is unique for the package. I don't have too much else to say about it but I appreciate its differences from the other games in the package. The Mineshaft: Hilariously bad jumpscares, several little bugs, and not a whole lot going on. A generally normal looking guy popping in, and slowly fading out like 10 times isn't scary. Pro tip: the mouse wheel is required to use your inventory, so I hope you have one of those. Night Sight: This game somewhat baffles me as to what to say about it, is the mere presence of a mohawk high-poly baby supposed to be scary? Consume: Game 1 in the "Really f-in dark trilogy" where you play an N64 styled zombie game, although the geometry could be ran on a Super Nintendo for how basic it looks. All that before going into an actually good looking house setting, but I'm assuming its a stock model. Game crashed for me in that section, which at least was brightly lit. Funhouse of Blood: Game 2 in the "Really f-in dark trilogy" where you walk around purple cubes looking at dark text, I can't really say much else. Garrison Broadcast: Game 3 in the "Really REALLY f-in dark trilogy" where you walk around at least decently decorated rooms, and then get chased down by something that actually looks kind of scary, but otherwise I just can't see the rest of the game. Overall, I can't really say much more than I am thoroughly disappointed with this selection of games, I wouldn't really call one of them good. Would I call them Interesting? I suppose so, but I just do not think this is worth the hour and a half this game has to offer. Please go play the Dread X Collections instead, as while those games aren't all perfect polished experiences, they're better than this. I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about when they say they enjoyed all of these games.

I gave every game a chance, but what can i say? Every game seems to be 15-20 minute long walkin simulator, trying to waste your time and money (no refund after 2 hours). Bad graphics, no gameplay, no story, cheap jump scare at the end of every game. I've played bad indy games before, but this is just... 0/10
Super fun game, Way more then I expected for the price, I am only one tape down and am very happy with my purchase. Game is awesome and have had absolutely no issues with it so far!!! Try it out! https://youtu.be/eYLRiDP41K0
Pretty damn neat collection if I do say so myself, especially for the price. A worthy Dread X Collection rival, or maybe younger sibling? Either way, hoping to see more. Horror/Surrealist centered Curator: KuriKuration
If you enjoy short horror games like the ones from the DreadX collections. Then this is worth buying. But don't expect anything crazy. The content is very mixed. A few of the games are actually really cool. And a few of them are hot garbage. The hub world is lacking severely though. They say in the store page, as a selling point, that the games are not locked behind any complex puzzles. That's fine, but the hub world becomes pretty useless if there is nothing at all to do there except look at a cute little bird through the window. It would have been nice to have some things happen or something to do there. I recommend this because it scratched my itch for this exact type of game collection. Overall a fun experience.
A fantastic variety at a fantastic price.
2.5 hours to beat all the games. This game is a borderline pass from me, I would give it a 5/10. There are 9 games, about 3 are good, 3 are really weird and interesting, and about 3 are really useless not fun at all. Its like a Z Grade Dread X compilation but with worse games and worse graphics. The flashing lights and annoying static noises are really over the top on some of the games, thought I was going to have a seizure. For die hard horror indie fans like myself that play 1000 horror games its a borderline pass if its on sale for under $5. Some of the games have a nice atmosphere to them. For the average horror gamer there are hundreds of other horror games better than this out on Steam.
Many analog flavours of horror for your taste. Yummy nightmares for those hungry for frights. It is a pleasure to be a part of this feast!
uh, this was pretty alright. like more horor compilations, there's good and there's bad, but this one was more there's upper mid and lower mid. none of the games were really bad, but none really stood out super hard either. the worst is probably one where you just read some dialogue prompts, then it's over. the actual worst is the one with a fake video game that was better than the actual game, which was boring and made me miss the fake game instantly and for a while after. idk what the best was, they all pretty much have their merits, but again, no real standouts. worth playing though.
