A blend of German expressionist film and classic point-and-click games such as Myst. The eerie tone of the game and surrealist visuals hooked me in and the "show, don't tell" style of storytelling kept me intrigued as a world-building technique. I did get stuck, but worked it out with a friend. Its only short in length, but when I had worked enough out to finish the game, I found myself wanting more. The hand-drawn art, stylized font and creepy title theme give the game a distinct vibe that separates it from low-effort freeware. I hope more is released in the future, and as a free indie game, you can't ask for much more. Very interesting.

Игра 'The Eyes of Dr. Kautzmann' - это жутковатое приключение в духе олдскульных point-and-click квестов.
Didn't finish. This was a thoroughly confusing experience, and now I feel like I need a nap.
Dunno what to say about this but for the most part you'd think to yourself surely it can't be that simple to your surprise it is that simple ... i can imagine the vexation it'd cause topped with the brilliant soundtrack but all in all ... couldn't be me ... git gud ... worth the experience ? ehh no clear answer for that but i'd say its worth a shot if you got free time on your hands and a broke ass bank account :)
To be honest, I'm only recommending this because I'm hoping they'll work to release more if enough interest is generated. There's only one puzzle, and you can arguably get it in 10 minutes. The only reason it took me longer is because I refused to believe the answer was as obvious as it seemed. I won't say more than that. Once you solve it, the thing just unceremoniously ends. It's curious, because the credits list a cast we never hear, and the assets show a seemingly important item that's mentioned in one of the in-game notes (not one you need for the aforementioned puzzle). This suggests to me that they do have some idea already of where future chapters are going. But it's unclear how often they'll be released, or how many there will be. Or if they'll be as short as the first. There's not enough here to tell if the puzzles or gameplay will be worth it in the end. But I like the general style and would love to see them do more with it.
