Don't. Do. It.
How do you make a game so far off and worst from the orginal? The original culling was actually pretty good, It was a small fast pace br that focused mostly on melee and crafting, it was rare to get a gun and even when you did ammo was incredibly scarce. Unfortunatly the orginal Culling died since it came right before the BR craze and got crushed by games such as Fortnite and PubG. But the Culling two is so incredibly dissapointing and just an awful game. I don't get how the devs made this and said to themselves "yeah this looks ready for steam". Like sersiously. Everyting about it screams a really watered down H1Z1 wannabe, It completly lost all its charm from the first game. They would have done better at attempting to revive the first game instead of realeasing this non sense.

TOTAL GARBAGE! First of all, no one is playing. Second, NO ONE IS PLAYING! This game, with 0 Players, shouldn't even be allowed on the Steam Store! BUYERS BEWARE!
This game is beyond disappointing. Not even as a failed successor to The Culling 1, but as a video game on its own. Graphics are worse than a mobile game, character/gun models/assets all look borrowed, animations are terrible. When you bandage you hold an invisible roll of banadages and there are no quick keys for using bandages/stims (and no way to customize keybinds). Guns are hilariously unrealistic. There are no swimming or ladder-climbing animations, instead you awkwardly hop up boxes to get on top of certain structures and you just walk on top of the bodies of water lol. If you expected a sequel to The Culling 1, this is not it. There are melee weapons but there are so many guns, melee weapons aren't viable. The announcer exists, but only in sporadic speakers throughout the map. I think I heard him twice in the 15ish games I played. Other than that, this game has nothing to do with The Culling 1. To me, this game feels like a half-assed, rushed, and lazy game trying to use The Culling name to make a quick buck. This game is so poorly made (and somehow a FULL RELEASE?), I have a hard time believing Xaviant actually thought this was a good game. It feels deceiving and as a consumer it's infuriating. If you want to see for yourself, here's 3 hours of pain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvPEfoLHfP0
This is a perfect example of a developer throwing their community to the dust in a desperate attempt to ride a popular genre. Poor graphics, optimization, and overall gameplay mechanics make this a very good contendor for the worst battle royale game ever created and released to the public.
DOA
I spent a good amount of hours playing the original Culling (over 300 hours) until the player base died. When Xaviant announced The Culling 2, I was actually overly excited. Silly ol' me gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought we'll get a revamped version of the original Culling - I was so wrong. Xaviant literally created this game (too fast) to jump on the bandwagon in order to keep up with all the other crappy gun oriented, third-person battle royale games (e.g. PUBG, Fortnite) - completely ignoring the fact that their original Culling was a VERY successful melee oriented battle royale game that people loved. I still gave Culling 2 a go, but was unable to join a game even after over 20 minutes. I watched plenty of livestreams and gameplays and came to the conclusion that this unnecessary sequel is not for me. I requested a refund right away and will not go back to this game. I loved the melee oriented play style of the original Culling and many other elements of the game that made it truly unique. Unfortunately, Xaviant took away all of these unique elements and created just another typical battle royale game. One bad decision after another and Xaviant still hasn't learned from their mistakes. The fact that Xaviant does not listen to the community absolutely blows my mind. Their game had so much potential. I don't think I'll ever understand their mindset and the way they work. I wish the player base of the original Culling came back... Very, very disappointed.
already a better game than PUBG
Gotta say, The Culling 2 in 2020 is the videogame we deserve.
