The Council initiates an immersive mystery where the protagonist searches for a missing mother amidst a claustrophobic, high-stakes atmosphere on a secluded island. Historical figures mingle with occult elements to construct a uniquely dark fantasy setting that consistently rewards the player's curiosity through dense, layered world-building. Dialogue encounters function as high-stakes confrontations, necessitating preparation and precise skill usage rather than relying on standard combat systems. Personality analysis acts as the primary weapon, forcing participants to actively scrutinise their opponents for specific vulnerabilities to gain a decisive advantage during these demanding and tense social battles. Choosing between the Diplomat, Occultist, or Detective classes dictates the acquisition of knowledge via discovered manuscripts and investigative efforts. This class-based progression system ensures that gathering clues translates into tangible skill boosts, making the search for information feel intrinsically linked to the character's capability to succeed in future arguments. Navigating the manor often proves tedious due to its complex, maze-like layout and the absence of clear icons for essential interactable objects. Players must frequently scour environments for subtle prompts, leading to moments of unnecessary frustration that briefly derail the momentum of the otherwise absorbing investigative narrative. Unpolished character animations and jarring visual elements occasionally emerge during the early stages, creating a slight disconnect that disrupts the overall immersion. These technical hiccups do not persist throughout the journey, though they remain a noticeable imperfection when set against the otherwise striking and detailed occult themes found here. Historical intrigue and occult conspiracies drive the episodic experience forward, allowing for a deep and satisfying evolution of the central narrative threads. While the abundance of collectible coins and the odd architectural choice of overly high ceilings feel somewhat misplaced, these minor design quirks fail to diminish the core investigative loop. Overall, the conversation mechanics provide a cerebral challenge that rewards those who favour rigorous analysis over reflex-heavy gameplay. Managing social vulnerabilities transforms every interaction into a tactical puzzle, ultimately proving that this social-focused system offers a compelling and sophisticated alternative to conventional action within the modern narrative-adventure genre.

The voice acting in this game is absolutely atrocious. I personally find it so bad and unbearable that I'm unable to continue playing this game past the first hour or so.
GOOD COUNCIL
it's like those games where you're in a closet with your crush and the options are "punch him and leave" and "kiss him (3000 gems)" except you're instead on a quest to have sex with george washington.
I had a great time trying out this game. The plot was pretty engaging, and the history easter eggs that were sprinkled made it a lot more enjoyable.
This game is about a secret society called Dialogue led by Palantir's CEO Peter Thiel, where powerful people go to collude with each other and plan how to destroy our freedoms. Oh my bad that's real life.... This game is about a secret society called The Golden Order led by George Washington, where powerful people go to collude with each other and plan how to destroy our freedoms.
