The Cinema Rosa - A review
So, firstly I will simply state that I was part of the Kickstarter campaign for this game. That does make me a bit biased from the get go. I wanted to like the game because I had already joined the campaign to make it happen. But, what is not to like? A story that takes place within a cinema in art deco style. Ghost and puzzles as well. Sounded pretty good. So having now been through the game twice I can give some positive and negative remarks about it. Positive

Great setting - Cinema
Good music - Fitted the environment
Good voice actor
Good puzzles
Negative

Price - Might be a bit much for some
Length - A bit short to some gamers
Assets - Re-used a bit much
Broken functionality - Essential stuff like saving and setting simply has to work
On the whole I would recommend this to players that like adventuring and puzzles. It might be worth checking out for gamers that are also into the art deco style. If you want to see some gameplay I have added the link to a blind let´s play of the game below. Why not take a quick peek and see if this is something for you. Enjoy! The Cinema Rosa - Gameplay https://youtu.be/PlfAxCf3bb4

"Something is Missing" A review of The Cinema Rosa Over the course of its somewhat two hour playtime, The Cinema Rosa intrigues, entertains, and delves into a story of romance, tragedy, and loss. I found myself deeply moved by the time the final credits rolled across my screen. I was left pouring over the story in my head, not trying to make sense of it, mind you, but because I was striving to unlock the deeper meaning lying at the heart of the experience) which is something that most games don't make me do these days. Everything, from the atmospheric sounds, gramophone records, classic movie posters, and references to said classic movies (sometimes hidden on the labels of wine bottles) to the dilapidated halls of the titular Cinema Rosa, strive to fill the player with a deep sense of atmosphere, and what an atmosphere it is. Though confined in an indie budget, the game makes you feel like you really are walking down the abandoned corridors of a cinema from the days of yore, and every detail reminds you of where you are. The story-- arguably the biggest draw to this style of experience-- is not lacking in depth or emotion, as it takes you down a mysterious path of loss and regret, leaving you still thinking over the tale shown to you, long after the game has ended. It is not your typical tale-- one told through lengthy dialogue and cinematics-- but one told simultaneously through a captivating narration and notes, postcards, emails, and environmental storytelling. I'm trying to avoid spoiling any details, so I'll keep this to a minimum, but the story takes you through a very well-crafted collection of dreams/flashbacks and diary logs that tell an emotional tale of lost love and the many sad, hidden secrets behind the Cinema Rosa. While the story is deeply thought provoking, I believe the most memorable element of this game is found in its puzzles. Though it was one of my favorite parts, it could end up being a major "road block", of sorts, for some players. There is no hand holding in this game; you must figure out the puzzles for yourself, but don't think that you're left entirely without hope, for the environment sports a plethora of clever clues and well-placed hints to help you solve the sometimes challenging, sometimes obvious, puzzles that this game offers you. In conclusion, for the low price of $9.99 (USD), you could do far worse than play The Cinema Rosa. (The last sentence was an example of one of my absolute least favorite marketing gimmicks, but it must be said anyways) This game is by no means perfect, for minor bugs and glitches (both in sound and level design) do show themselves if you look hard enough, and the puzzles, regardless of how much I love them, can sometimes prove too challenging, even to a "veteran" puzzle game player such as myself. All in all, it is an experience that I highly recommend partaking of, and I think you will be better off for having done so. I think I speak for a great number of people when I say that I cannot wait till Atreyu Games releases another great game such as this one. They already have the makings of a wonderful indie company, as long as they continue to make great titles such as The Cinema Rosa.
Short (75 minutes) simple (no jump scares) kind of interesting but not really first person adventure/puzzle game. Certainly not worth the $15 price tag but worthy of a playthrough when it goes cheap.
Started off great then seemed to fall apart. Ended up in a projection room where you have to solve movie clip order (Clips only ran once then were just pictures) Left that room to an adjacent room where I saw movie reels and Got Stuck behind two trunks in the corner. Rebooted and entered the projection room again and went down the long hall towards the outside. As I approached the door, I was transported to some kind of burning, fireworks, nonsense and everything was moving Real Clunky and hard to maneuver. Rebooted and started at a former location and walked through a portal and started falling and ended up with a total grey screen and couldn't move at all. Didn't reboot this time, just deleted the whole mess. Like I said, in the beginning the game had Real Potential. If you can get it cheap, it may be worth checking out and Possibly some more kinks will be worked out by then. It just seems like it wasn't tested properly before being SOLD.
The Cinema Rosa is a game about exploring the past. As you wonder through a shell of a cinema once burned down, you also learn a bit about the people who once owned the place and what may have happened to them. The graphics and sound make for a great atmospheric experience, and obvious extensive research was done to bring the experience alive. I would recommend this game for the story and puzzles included
puzzle and adventure :)
The Cinema Rosa is a short and modest 3rd person adventure game with puzzle solving. It's about 2-3 hours long and the puzzels are pretty good. Unfortunately this is one of those games that would fit into the grey area of recommendations. Most of it is mediocre, from the graphics to the music and to the story. The idea to explore an old abandoned cinema sounds really good but unfortunately doesn't really offer much, no real nostalgia or tension. Yet the price dropped and i think it's a nice experience for fans of the genre and the puzzles are good and well integrated into the story. I also noticed that the developers want to improve the game so that's a big plus.
(另附:弹钢琴很好玩,玩的停不下来) Introduction: "The Cinema Rosa" is an adventure horror game with classic elements. The story takes place in a cinema with a different event. The story is inspired by "Stanley's Fables", "The Disappearance of Ethan Carter" and "Dear Esther". Story content: We should be a detective and come to the Rosa Theater to explore the secret. This theater is full of artistry, and each decoration can remind you of the golden age of Hollywood in the last century. In the exploration between darkness and ghosts, we can learn about the past events of the couples in this theater, and the changes in their relationship are closely related to the rise and fall of the theater. There are no horrific events in the theater itself, but like the game of its inspiration, this is a completely single-player exploration and puzzle game; in many places, after rendering and ghosts, it will always make people feel creepy. a feeling of. If it goes well, it can be cleared within 2 hours; the story is very touching; the skills required for solving the puzzle are not very high, and they are all independent and less connected. We can learn about all aspects of this place with notes, postcards, mobile phones and other items. Art picture: The picture is very gorgeous and elegant, like a movie-like editing scene and an interactive environment that makes people immersive, and it is obvious that some eggs have borrowed from many famous movies. There are no achievements and cards for the time being, which may be disappointing to the collectors. The operation is relatively simple, the Lord is exploring. Dubbing music: Music is real and effective, and it feels a bit like "BioShock". Summary: This is a very good adventure game, I heard that I am still doing localization in Chinese, which is even better. This game combines the "Stanley's Fables", "The Disappearance of Ethan Carter", "The Dear Astor"'s advantages, some defects in diversity and achievements, but does not hinder its excellence. I did not finish the game. It was a nice puzzle but could not figure out how activate the blue shadows dancing at the piano room as seen at this walkthrough http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8lE5Jn1NYI&t=4m7s I think thats the reason I could not unlock the door next to the bathrooms. I cannot rate this game as bad, because it may be my fault that the blue shadows are not in the game.
