About
The Bloody Cross is a short, narrative-driven top-down game with horror elements, exploring the weight of sin, guilt, and redemption through a Christian lens. You play as a wanderer climbing a mountain that represents moral achievement—only to be met with temptation, failure, and spiritual struggle at every turn. Along the way, you encounter others like you, including Jesus himself, who offers forgiveness and calls you to follow him… even unto the cross.
This is not a sanitized or child-friendly Christian game. The Bloody Cross is raw, emotional, and unafraid to deal with disturbing and mature themes—addiction, shame, pride, suicide, and the trauma of trying to be good in a broken world. Through powerful allegory and stark imagery, the game pulls players into an intimate and unsettling reflection on the human condition and the costly grace offered at Calvary.
Whether you’re a believer or not, The Bloody Cross offers a bold narrative experience built to challenge, provoke, and stay with you long after the credits roll.

Very dark and grim. Thought-provoking. Tense atmosphere from the beggining until a bit before the end. You should've toned down the feature where your entire screen gets red, when a demon touches you, though. It makes navigation very difficult when you can't see what lies ahead. And another thing: getting sent all the way to the beggining, upon death, is not only boring but something extremely outdated. Get on with the times and respect the time of the player. I get what you were trying to do from a narrative perspective, developer, but it just translates bad when it comes to the actual playing part. For example, I had a glitch/bug on the last panel of the second act. Character got stuck on a wall, the first time I got there. Made me angry when I realized that I had to go back to chapter 1. I believed there was some sort of auto-save but no. There was nothing. The final chapter had checkpoints. Consider adding them to all the previous ones, too.
