Great game!
Currently on Day 8 in game- Overall Rating: 8/10 Generalized Relatable Review: The Witcher 3 x Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 w/ Vampires By the numbers- Combat: 7.5/10, Feels fresh swapping between the various styles and abilities. Targeting leaves some desire in larger groups. Optimization: 5/10, Unfortunately most games these days require tweaking Story: 8/10, Deeper story with some investment to understand things and the world, Established world. Graphics: 8/10, I run best at Medium Sound: 8/10, Sounds nice Items/Loot: 7/10, standard fair, some cool items Crafting/Abilities, Etc: 7.5/10, Standard fair, abilities are a nice mix Timeline: Cool Plot element that adds a surprisingly nice twist of pressure and decision making, no drawbacks either, if missed or completed can continue playing. If you are looking for a Vampire centric RPG similar to The Witcher 3, KCD2 or Skyrim that has unique combat and a fresh time driven story then you've found your game.
If you enjoyed the feeling you got exploring Witcher 3, you will enjoy this game. The combat is great, characters and writing are high quality and generally the time mechanic has not caused me any real issues I have read people compain about (16hrs of playing and I've only passed 10 days). Cons: The lighting feels dated and often makes scenes overly dark. The colour pallette feels washed out, in a way where I think some more colour from the phases of the day would be welcome. I feel the gameplay would have benefited from a major city. The traversal skills are wated in a map that is 70% wilderness.
I love everything about this game, the lore, the gameplay, and the graphics. The long wait was so worth it for this game.
TOP!
I'm a couple hours in now so take this with a grain of salt, there's a few things that I want to gripe about or at least scream into the void. I will say before I do, the story thus far is superb. It is really intriguing and you feel the weight of choices and the consequences of your actions. As for complaints they are as follows: Animations are clunky. Combat is odd but manageable, feels like a more complicated and less enjoyable batman arkham style. The terrain is terrible, mostly in regards to hills and cliffs and sliding around. Its goofy. Armor outpaces itself really fast. I have been wearing stupid clothing because of its stats, even though the devs provided a decent chainmail set at the start. The open world is bare and there really isn't much going on with it so far. Some stuff to do scattered in between mass emptiness. I had a lot of hope for this but so far its not really anything to write home about. I will continue playing and HOPEFULLY have a change of heart.
Simplesmente incrível, história muito boa. Para quem gosta de The Witcher 3 não vai precisar se preocupar, pois é um jogo simplesmente nostalgico.
Super fun game. Love the witcher-esque gameplay and story telling. Plus VAMPIRE!!
This is a fantastic game.
