The Alters

This game has a very unique idea of having your character create alternate clones of himself that have different personalities and skills. The premise is very interesting and the story is well written to force you into difficult decisions and moral dilemmas. Besides dialogues, the game has some exploration, combat and base building components that are good enough but not the main focus of the experience. It also features multiple paths and endings, so replayability is good. Performance was great on my rig.

Дуже крута гра. Візуал - моя пошана. Історія - ти її проживаєш разом з персонажем, чудове занурення. Навіть після проходження гри, вона ще довго не полишає тебе. Ця гра входить у невеликий перелік ігор, про які я можу впевнено сказати - я радий, що купив її на релізі, вона того варта.

Божественная игра. 1200/10. Личный GOTY 2025. Актёр озвучивших главного(ых) героев просто потрясающе выполнил свою работу и так же заслуживает награды за лучшего актера озвучания прошлого года. Игра десятилетия. Настолько увлекательно, залипательно, морально тяжело от выборов (что огромный плюс), волнительно и чудовищно интересно играть в последний раз мне было, пожалуй, году в 2016-м.. Спасибо разработчикам и всем причастным за этот ШЕДЕВР!

Unique, immersive, good fun

Просто лучшая игра 2025 года ДЛС если бы не последний рывок который крайний душный, мог бы сказать что лучшее ДЛС

3.3 hours in, and I'm already hooked. At first, I thought this would be a survival game with an interesting sci-fi setting. It turned out to be something much more personal. Every Alter is a reminder that a single decision can change the course of an entire life. Not necessarily for the better or worse - just differently. That's a surprisingly powerful idea, and one that feels very human. I've only created my first two Alters, so I know I've barely scratched the surface. But if the game keeps exploring these themes with the same care, I have a feeling this is going to stay with me long after the credits roll. Can't wait to see where it takes me.

If you like a bit of base- and resource management and building, and psychology-philosophy, play it. It's a small game and I think underrated, likely going under the radar for many who would enjoy it. Aside dealing with moral questions it doesn't get super deep with any game mechanics and delivers a believable experience to lose yourself into for several dozen hours filled with more and more surprises. It lists 16GB min RAM required but base game ran without issues even with 8. Linux compatibility seems to be a hit and miss but matured releases seem to work for many, even out of the box.

Fun concept and lean execution. Buy it.
