Warning: Third Party Account This game requires you to create a third party "Dialsoft account or D4O AG account " account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC game when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.

Warning: In-game cash shop This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money/credit card details to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"The 4th Coming" an ancient Diablo-esque primarily French MMORPG from 1999. There's a remarkably tenacious group of players exhibiting advanced Stockholm Syndrome playing this every day, which is remarkable in itself. However, you know... 1999. Come on. Also there's a history of technical issues with server logons and registration that could be discouraging if you're feeling like an archaeologist. I'm not sure I can recommend this kind of retro gaming experience even for free. Visually, this has some fairly mediocre/dated looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. As mentioned this isn't free, it's infested with toxic MTX, again, another reason to avoid this when Steam has completely free games in abundance. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Too confusing. I couldn’t even figure out how to start the game. If you’re only here for the achievement, it’s easy enough, it just might take a bit of time to find the right buttons. If this game cost even a single penny, I still wouldn’t waste it on this.
The game doesn't look good at all (just the pfp). Played the game solely for the achievement so I can't say much. To get the achievement it can be a lil confusing since you have to download some stuff after downloading the game on steam. Tried making an account and didn't work. Luckily it's free. Experience: 0/10 Achievement accessibility: 9/10
Easy 100% I simply freaking kneel...
EDIT AT THE BOTTOM* Trojan warning when trying to connect to the most populated server. game also requires a seperate account creation on their website, it's kind of a chore, and showed up with an error, but it did go through and create the account. seems like the security might not be up to snuff, luckily my antivirus managed to block the trojan virus. can't recommend due to safety reasons. the game looks fun but i didn't get to play it. ---------- EDIT:: after the developer told me it wasn't a trojan, i feel like a negative review is a bit harsh... i might have to try excluding it from my antivirus to try the game out...changing it to positive temporarily (as to not be an ass) until i get to play it and update my review after a few hours of gameplay, looking forward to trying the game, it seems to have quite the old-school type of charm based on the pictures. EDIT 2: the UI is hard to navigate, small and fiddly. i ddin't like it, i found options to make text bigger which helps slightly. there doesn't seem to be the usual keyboard sceme to open menus, hotkeys might be self-toggleable but not on by default, at least none that i tried worked. couldn't figure out what to do, if there's a quest or something, there was nothing above characters heads where i started. the first server i went to with the biggest population had the text set to french, was unable to change this, so i went on the second most popular one, which had english, this seems like an easy fix in settings, rather than server based, but, can't complain too much about it, though it is kind of annoying that we can't all play together... the game could do with some improvements in UI and modern features, but keeping the charm of the game itself. can't recommend it because it's hard to get into, even though i've played similar games before. it's a shame, but i guess the date of the game shows a bit too well. with some UI changes i'd recommend it though.
old school MMORPG

Good
This is a great old school rpg, even if somethings don't see to work well, like buying weapons or armors for now, it's a huge world to explore and the combat level up system is great. It's also challenging.
I enjoy this game because I played it many years ago when it was one of the first MMOs, but there is an unfortunate lack of any meaningful development. It came out almost 30 years ago and there's still no functional quest log. I'll keep the review positive because of the nostalgia.
