About
Our non apologetic intro.
TetrX is not a shooter. Thousands of those games are out there if you're into mindless killing. We are not a fighting game. Again, thousands available. Also not a horror. We're fans of the genre.
Certainly not one of the multitudes of metroidvania either. Once you complete these, the fun is done (unless you keen on replaying.) We are not a driving game of RVs, or climbers who 'conquer' imaginary mountain tops. And, of course, TetrX is not a role-playing game. God knows there are millions of them around. Not a sport simulation, a strategy game or any other type of simulation either. And we don’t build gardens, or solve crimes in houses for sure.
In fact, we don’t know what TetrX is.
We have a vision, the initial version of which you see here, and admittedly, yes, it is not the best it could be. But as the game evolves are future updates will just install on top of the original download for years to come.
We are what we are, but that does not include controller support. Old school here, keyboard play only (for now.) If you’re not up for that, don’t even bother. And while on the topic, don’t bother telling us what we've made because we used AI. Especially if you’ve never played the game.
We are what we are we just don’t yet know what that is. But hopefully we’ll create a whole new genre, a fusion of retro and AI, And hopefully we’ll get a chance to develop all 30,000+ levels we’ve imagined, and it will be jolly good fun to play for years to come.
If you want to help us find out our destiny, and create a new paradigm, get a copy of TetrX then tell other to do the same. Let’s find out what we can be.
THE CODE-MAKERS.
LEGENDS FROM BEFORE TIME
"Before the first star ever burned, before matter or light had names, before the ticking of time itself… there was the Auric Order, the Creators—a race older than physics, older than causality, older than the concept of “before.” They drifted in the Primordial Expanse, a realm of pure potential where realities had not yet been born and the laws of existence slept unborn within the void.
The Auric Order were architects of creation. To them, universes were not accidents but artworks, vast living canvases on which they experimented with form, energy, consciousness, and fate. Their purpose was simple yet unfathomable:
to seed new realities and watch what life might learn when given the freedom to evolve.
THE ENGINE OF CREATION
After aeons of refinement, the Auric Order built their greatest invention: The Caelus Engine, a cosmic-scale machine capable of igniting entire universes—Big Bang events initiated through perfect orchestration of energy and possibility.
It was a machine not just gears and metal, but also a lattice of metaphysical components—each a rune of reality, each a law unto itself. It could weave constants, sculpt dimensions, breathe entropy, and set the arrow of time into motion like a conductor raising their baton.
With the Caelus Engine, the Auric Order created countless universes, each more intricate than the last.
But then came the Final Experiment. The one meant to surpass all others. This universe. Our universe.
THE CATACLYSM OF BIRTH
When the Auric Order activated the Caelus Engine for the final time, the Expanse shuddered. The unformed cosmos swirled with unprecedented complexity—too much complexity.
Something happened that no Auric had foreseen.
As the Engine ignited the singularity, the infinite energies of creation surged backward through the device. A chain reaction tore through its lattice, shattering it into 30,000 fragments—each one containing a fundamental aspect of the Engine’s power.
Those fragments were hurled outward into the newborn universe, carried on the first tidal waves of expansion. Each fragment became hidden within galaxies, inside stars, beneath planets, embedded in the quantum fabric itself.
The Auric Order—caught in the shock-wave of the detonation—vanished. Whether they were annihilated, transformed, or scattered like their creation is unknown.
What is known is this: When the Caelus Engine broke, it wove its pieces into the very structure of reality. The universe as we know it is full of subtle anomalies—impossible physics, latent energies, inexplicable phenomena—all remnants of the Engine’s shattered components.
THE MISSION
Countless civilizations have risen and fallen, unaware of the hidden relics slumbering around them. But some have awakened to the truth. Whispers surface in ancient star-maps, encrypted transmissions, lost artifacts humming with unnatural power. All point to one undeniable revelation:
The 33,333 engine fragments are still out there.
if they are found, the Caelus Engine could be rebuilt.
Rebuilt to understand our origins. Rebuilt to command creation itself. Rebuilt to open a path to the lost Auric Order—if they still exist beyond the veil of our universe.
You are part of the expedition tasked with the impossible:
Find the fragments. Recover the lost pieces of the Caelus Engine. Rediscover the power that forged existence itself.
For scattered across this vast universe lie the key to creation—and the universe, aware of its own birth, is waiting to see if you dare to claim it."
Ancient Creator maxim.
Over the next 48 months a total of 33,333 levels will be released, culminating in a cinematic ending to wrap(?) this story line. We already have a dozen spin-off games planned (the imagery on some levels cries out for standalone games.)

Reviews
my brother made multiplayer Tetris with AI and it plays about the same with all the same problems. we have played it twice, he didnt spent much time on building it but he also could never get controller support working. 2/10 game feels like it was made in a single day with ai - AI shart - cant hold down buttons and move, need to press the keys over and over - is a slam down and pressing down moves you down one. most of the time i need to move all the way down and one to the right/left. you could wait or since everything is timed mash down a bunch. - could only play for about 17 minutes until my fingers hurt, 2 much button pressing - no controller support - no keyboard support on menus - weird piece shapes to the point where you NEED power ups to stay alive - not a fan of having to buy powerups and from what i read on the store page they will cost actually money, a F&^%ton of money from the store page ---------------- Download, launch and you will see 1,000 CREDITS already deposited in your account, a $200 dollar value of in-app purchases. Originally, we wanted to launch with 100 credits (equivalent to $9.99 purchase price) and in-app purchase enabled ----------------------- - powerups should be earned well playing levels
I cannot recommend the game in its current state. It might have been better to release it as an early access rather than full release with updates. What is good about the game is that it has potential to become something new and exciting. Minor issues (that can probably be fixed rather quickly): No controller support currently; no proper menu with settings (no resolution settings, keybinds, music volume etc.); ugly UI with uneven fonts; blocks movement does not feel smooth and you cannot hold the move key but have to click it for every movement; music does not seem fitting and lastly rather slow progression. Major issues (would need some serious changes from the developer): Frustrating tetris shapes right from the start. I do not know if AI helped with the shapes but some of them are very unplesant and due to them being in random order, you can get the same weird shape three times in a row right in the first level; The whole monetization. Changing the price at the beginning is understandable for a small developer as long as it was properly refunded, if people bought it right at the beginning. The main issue is in-game credits that feel similar to mobile game ones. Currently, I have not found a way to buy more but their sole purpose is to make the frustrating game easier. In theory, if you would be able to buy any amount of credit, you would be able to just spam bombs and instantly win, which I do not think is correct. Also, if they add any multiplayer later on, this would be extremely pay-to-win. They need to think of a different monetization and get rid of this completely. It should be cosmetics only and power-ups could stay as an earn in-game reward for playtime, completing levels or something else. TLDR: I understand that it is a small team of people and they wanted to try something new but I cannot recommend the game at this price point and with in-game microtransactions at its current state with missing features and lack of polish. If these issues get resolved, I will update my review with additional notes. Proper feedback was also provided directly to the developer through Steam DMs, so they know what to focus on to make the game better. Right now, they seem to be open to new ideas and feedback.
Non mi sarei mai aspettato una trama da un gioco come tetris e delle musiche talmente epiche da essere al contempo fighe, ma strane da ascoltare per il contesto. Comunque per gli amanti di tetris va benissimo!
Disclaimer: I received a review key from the developer for this game. Thank you for the opportunity! "TetrX 360 - Eons of Time" is an incredibly ambitious take on the classic falling-block puzzle genre. The developers have a massive vision and an extensive roadmap, and while it's obvious the game still needs work in its current state, the foundation is there for something unique. The Visuals & Scope: The AI-generated backgrounds look fantastic and give the game a distinct sci-fi, cosmic atmosphere. The roadmap is also huge, promising thousands of levels, multiplayer, and new modes down the line. Steam Achievements: Achievements are currently on the roadmap, which is a really big thing for me. I'll definitely be looking forward to hunting those down once they are implemented! Areas for Improvement in the current state (July 2026): Quality of Life: The settings menu is missing entirely right now. This is a basic necessity for any PC game and hopefully gets added in soon. Story Presentation: The game has a surprisingly deep lore (The Auric Order, the Caelus Engine), but it is presented as a wall of text. I honestly don't have the patience to read through all of it. Having the story narrated in the future would make the game much more immersive and accessible. Difficulty & Progression: The gameplay needs to be more progressive. I played the very first level three times and still didn't manage to achieve the objective. The game drops you in a bit too hard, and a smoother difficulty curve would make the early game much less frustrating. Gameplay Mechanics: There are pieces with some really weird shapes that make planning difficult. Echoing what a few other reviewers have noticed, when you combine these odd shapes with the wide playfield, distracting block colors, and the rotating board, it can feel a bit clunky compared to the minimalist design of traditional block puzzlers. If you go into "TetrX 360" expecting a highly polished, traditional block game, you might be thrown off by the steep initial difficulty and current clunkiness. However, if you're open to an evolving "AI-Retro" experiment and want to support a developer who is clearly passionate about building a massive, unique puzzle universe, it’s worth checking out. I'm leaving a positive review for the potential it holds and will be watching the updates closely!
This game takes me back to my childhood when I played Tetris on the NES)
Key obtained from devs for review purposes. My thanks, and as a huge tetris fan and long term player, this was a great opportunity. As you asked, I'll post my honest findings, and hope the issues will be fixed in coming updates. Initial observations: - Game is unplayable, and this shows in the very store videos. - Distracting block colors, weird shapes, wide field. - The rotating field on it's own isn't enough of an interesting gimmick to really make it worth buying. - At least 2 reviews are made by users with 1 review - dev alt accounts or friends / family. Either way, those should be removed. It isn't tetris and it isn't advertised as such - but, it's funny how clunky it actually is when you take away the minimalistic design idea that is tetris. Unfortunately it seems the original tetris creator has some licensing and or copyright claims that he will supposedly strongarm tetris clones with. Which is the reason this game is so different. Game is largely made with AI. - In this day and age, usage of AI is fine. I'd prefer not to see it, especially in large amounts - and I'll not get into the details why some use cases are better or worse than others, but using AI in some areas - especially as a solo dev or small indie team is almost unavoidable. - In this case it should be noted that while the graphics look great, the music is really not fitting to the game. Why I feel the game is unplayable. - Just look at the videos, the random blocks that are "not tetris blocks" are obscure shapes that don't really fit together at all. Most levels you will quickly get errors, and as they say when playing tetris: Your achievements are quickly erased, but mistakes are never forgotten. - The level is also rather wide - not a problem per-say, and with the weird block shapes you kind of need it. It does mean it takes a long time to get enough blocks to fill lines however. - The main problem is, due to the weird shapes, you quickly get more and more holes and you have no realistic way to fix them. The general idea is that you can destroy (bomb) 1-3 lines to keep your playing field "low", but this requires you to spend credits. You are given 1000 at the start of the game, but these will quickly drain if you rely on them to be able to progress. - Since this isn't a F2P mobile game, credits should be earned or given over time, not available at MTX when the basic design simply doesn't work. You can't fix a broken idea by expecting users to throw money at it. And when spending money becomes a requirement for progression, you don't really have a game at all. Bugs and missing features: - Music setting does not save between levels. - Press and hold to move block left/right does not exist. - Clunky UI homescreen. - 2 early random crashes caused me to lose all progress. - Slow end of level tally. Needs a skip button. - Game progress lost when you mash keys trying to make the end of level tally go faster. - Unclear story. Does a tetris clone really need it? - Buyable UI "unlocks" - should be earned with progression. At any rate, I hope the dev team upholds their promises and improves the game. Currently it feels like Early Access should have lasted a while longer, to ensure testers have a chance to play game game and provide feedback. If this had a demo - I think most people wouldn't bother to go past level 2.
I am a huge Tetris fan! When I saw an ad on FB about a month ago for this game I knew that I had to have it. (I just opened an account here for this game.) Already played until the first rotating gate but the experience is quite overwhelming. I think I blew some fuses....in my head. I love the vivid colors of the blocks, there is a very imaginative storyline and the music is very enjoyable. You have to be on your toes if you want to pass those gates. Maybe this game should come with a warning: only play if your IQ is over 140 :))) Cannot wait to finish all the levels! PS: pay attention to the background....if you can!? PSS: finished all levels in 11 hours. Some of them were very challenging but super fascinating! Even tho I used a lot of bombs I am still left with 80 credits. Now I am replaying all levels to be the highest scorer on all.... Slippery slope of "competition" here ME go! Thank you developers for such a lovely game that makes me use my brain!
WOW. I was skeptical, but intrigued, so I bought TetrX360. Am I glad I did. If you’re a Tetris fan, then this is Tetris for the 21st century. Whole new shapes. Whole new colors. All different sized playing fields. A huge background story. What colors. And make sure you get to Level 4 Act 2. Then try to wrap your head around that. How come no one has ever thought of this? Tetris rotates and teases your brain. Cool.
First of all, thanks to the developer for providing me with the game key. Here are some areas for improvement: 1. Settings Menu The game needs a settings menu for volume control, key bindings, windowed mode, and window size adjustments. 2. Movement Moving blocks left and right should support holding down the key for continuous movement, rather than requiring the player to tap the key repeatedly. 3. High Scores The game should record the final score as a “Best Score” even if the game is lost, rather than only saving it upon victory. Bug Report: The game unmutes itself when navigating to other pages after it has been muted.
Not the classic Tetris. Pieces have different shapes, and each level selects the available ones. There are some powerups that can break the lines or enable you to see what are the next 3 pieces. There is also a story (?) involved, each level will gain you a piece of a machine that you need to rebuild. But the main thing comes after Level 4, when the entire table rotates (that's why is 360) after each destroyed line. It messes with your head a bit but you get used to it pretty fast. Personally I find it a hard game, for just a casual game. Also, the music was not on my taste. But the developer seems helpful and eager to improve, being open to suggestions. I wish them good luck.
