Ads are problematic It’s Tetris, you know what to expect. We all know Tetris, and the Tetris is awesome. But the frequency and implementation of ads in this version of the game is egregious and actively detrimental to the flow of the game. They start you off thinking it won’t be so bad, you can go a good amount of levels without ever seeing an ad—maybe one every five levels or so. As you progress, however, the frequency of these ads will gradually increase until you’re getting some repetitive, obtrusive ad after every single level. Past a certain points, I was having the MIDDLE OF MY GAMES interrupted by ads. This is obviously obnoxious to a problematic degree already, but the app is free to download, so it is—to a degree—to be expected. It wouldn’t be a dealbreaker if you could pay to remove ads permanently, but that isn’t the case. Ads are only removed for 30 days at a time maximum. If you want to play without any ads at all, you’ll have to pay again and again and again. If you want to play Tetris, find it for free online. Skip this until they fix the ad problem.
