Tales From The Under-Realm: Lilith

Well, what can I say, for the price tag I'm rather happy of the CG amount and the plot length. To see all the different endings and variations you definitely need more than a couple of hours.

This review is a little late but finally got around to making it. As the last game in the Tales From the Under Realm Trilogy, it’s done an awesome job of finishing off this story arc of separate storylines that have eventually culminated in a bittersweet ending to this dark fantasy yuri VN series! The story was done really well with a plot that gets you eager to know how all this will end for both the main characters and the antagonist group (especially if you’ve played the last two). As someone who played most games related to the Loren universe, I was anxious to learn of how the characters and the world of Aravorn will prevail against the main antagonist group which seems to have been the catalyst to this dark era that’s taken hold of the world as this takes place many years after Loren and the ToA series. This dark era definitely shows its dark fantasy theme throughout the story from what the main girls have to go through and what’s become of Aravorn. The main characters both Lilith and the love interests; Evelyn and Odette are really enjoyable with their varying personalities causing all sorts of arguments, conflicts and humor. At the same time it makes their routes all the more interesting, from Odette’s fear of falling in love again to Evelyn’s discovery and conversion to liking women. The romance aspect of it is both romantic and passionate (and erotic). Really enjoyed how all the routes played out, including the “canonical” ending to this game. Despite its bittersweet nature, it does fit well given the final quote shown after the credits to convey the message and theme of the game and makes ya feel for all three of the girls knowing how much they bonded. The new teasing and flirting options are a really nice addition to add more variety to how your relationship with a love interest goes and how you interact with each other. Whether you’re very flirty and wholesome each other or being a tease and have a bit of rivalry between ya. Another new thing that’s starting to be seen in Winter Wolves games with romance are One Night Stand scenes. Given the nature of Lilith as a half succubus, it fits really well with the large cast of potential side characters to romantic flings with. Despite some of them being very short lived, they are very passionate and sexy scenes to watch and read through. Even the ones with more depth and a short route, that being Rowinda and Ophelia, they were done really well and very romantic. Which makes me kind of wish they were full routes instead (Rowinda being my favorite of the bunch), though honestly I think that’s what makes them all the more appealing as One Night Stand romances Overall this game was a nice conclusion to the Tales from the Under Realm trilogy with plenty of passion and love to go with it. If y’all enjoy yuri romance in a dark fantasy setting, this game will be a good one to play through! Also as an added note: Congratz on concluding the TftUR trilogy Winter Wolves, hope there might a future game that’ll explore what occurs after the events this game’s canonical ending, really eager to see how the people of Aravorn move forward past this dark era. Lots of possibilities to expand, maybe a new hero/heroine(s) could step up to repair the world!

I haven’t played the other two games yet, but I noticed there’s a discounted bundle available. I’ll try those two before continuing with this one.

Amber looks really different in t’his game, but I was thrilled to finally romance Evelyn! Shes definitely the best girl!
