This is basically a simple 2D image collector game based on a gooner franchise. The gameplay is pretty straight-forward with fairly simple puzzles. The grinding for said "images" can get repetitive. It might take forever to collect them all without spending real world money. Let me save you trouble, it is significantly cheaper, easier, and quicker to find the images on the internet. I would not recommend playing this game unless you enjoy torture through choppy, stingy, and unrewarding gameplay.

Taimanin Collection: Battle Arena is a free-to-play collectible RPG that brings the established Taimanin universe to Steam through a card-based format focused on team management, progression, and character collection. Developed by Lilith and published by Infini-Brain Inc., the game draws from a franchise known for its futuristic ninja themes and supernatural conflicts. Instead of emphasizing reflex-driven combat, it presents players with a system centered on assembling squads from a large cast of heroes and antagonists, each represented by beautifully illustrated cards. From the moment players enter its world, it is clear that the title is designed primarily for fans who enjoy collecting and steadily improving their roster over time. The game's setting blends science fiction and fantasy elements, depicting a world where elite ninja warriors stand against demons, criminal organizations, and various threats hidden beneath modern society. Its story framework provides enough context to make the extensive character roster feel meaningful, especially for those already familiar with the Taimanin brand. While the narrative is not the primary attraction, the lore adds personality to the experience and helps distinguish it from the countless mobile-inspired card games available on PC. The Steam description highlights the breadth of the universe, and the title succeeds in making players feel like they are participating in an ongoing conflict rather than simply collecting static images. Its strongest feature is undoubtedly its character collection system. There is an impressive variety of units to recruit, evolve, and strengthen, encouraging experimentation with different team compositions. The artwork is consistently high quality and remains one of the game's biggest draws. Every character card feels intentionally crafted, giving players a sense of accomplishment whenever they unlock a rare addition. Longtime fans will appreciate seeing recognizable faces from across the franchise, while newcomers may find themselves curious about the larger world these characters inhabit. Combat is intentionally streamlined and accessible. Much of the strategy takes place before battles begin, with players selecting formations, upgrading units, and deciding which combinations work best together. This design makes the game easy to enjoy in short play sessions, particularly for those who prefer incremental progression over demanding gameplay. However, the simplicity of the combat system can become repetitive during extended sessions. Once players establish an effective lineup, many encounters begin to blend together, making progression feel more like a routine than an evolving challenge. Like many free-to-play titles, Taimanin Collection: Battle Arena relies heavily on events, daily activities, and limited-time rewards to keep players engaged. There is almost always another objective to pursue, whether it involves acquiring materials, participating in special campaigns, or chasing higher rarity cards. This approach provides substantial longevity, but it also introduces familiar frustrations. Players seeking specific characters may encounter a lengthy grind, and those unwilling to invest money will need to accept a slower pace of advancement. Fortunately, the game remains playable without spending, provided players are willing to be patient. Despite some repetitive mechanics and monetization limitations, the title succeeds at understanding its target audience. It does not attempt to compete with larger RPGs through cinematic storytelling or complex combat systems. Instead, it focuses on delivering a satisfying collection experience supported by attractive artwork, an established universe, and a constant stream of content updates. For fans of the Taimanin franchise, it serves as an enjoyable companion piece, while players who enjoy anime-themed card games may still find enough here to justify their time. Rating: 7/10
