I would really love to recommend this game since it is well made, but the current state of development is hard for me to make any recommendations. For the past few years, updates has been sparse. 0.8 was in the roadmap and has taken very long at this point, I have looked forward to the update but now it still seems like 0.8 is another couple years away.
As it stands right now, buyers should not expect any updates any time soon for this game. it might be a deal breaker, but the game is still decent as it stands with plenty of content.
A lot of the older players feel a sense of betrayal. We supported the dev when there was burnout a long time ago, but it seems the dev has gone back on the promise of giving us a great game. The same reason was used long ago. Therefore whether it is an excuse is up to each player.
I fully understand taking long breaks for mental health, but we also bought the game expecting some form of fulfillment of the roadmap. if the roadmap is not fulfillable, at least tell us.
Buy this game understanding the possibility of no updates in the near future. The game itself is good, but nowhere near the merit historical reviews give it as it stands.
To the dev: I understand that fixing anything in involved games is difficult, especially when you see old code. Nevertheless, if you made a roadmap, buyers will hold you to the promise. if you can't fulfill the promise, please let us know. The way things are right now feels like a scam and a half.
TLDR: Expect no frequent future updates if you buy the game. Rating is not recommended due to potential dev abandonment
