Super Blue Fighter is a Java based 2D retro pixel top down hybrid of arena brawler and Bomberman ripoff, as you're a robot in an arena with different coloured enemies. Run into the matching colour enemies to kill them, avoid the other ones until the "stars" change colour (indicating which enemies you can walk over), and for any you can't kill like that, drop bombs. There's also random pickups to enhance the crappy 2D retro pixel arcade experience. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game only displays in 4:3 pillarboxed aspect ratio (with some bleedout to the edges of the pillarbox, it's unclear why they didn't just make the game properly support widescreen). It's possible they developed this using an old CRT they found in a dumpster, or this game has been specifically designed for people gaming on PC's from 1995... either way, this isn't really acceptable in the modern era of PC gaming. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Comically, the game was written in Java (I'm not making this up). Specifically the LWJGL (Lightweight Java Game Library), which is a method to encourage people to not use the right tools for the job. Might as well try to bake a cake with a screwdriver. The extremely poor choice of game engine here is a major contributing factor to the defects with the game. The game is completely free. This is noble a gesture that shows dedication to both gamers, and the gaming industry. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. The quality here is simply too low for me to recommend, even for free.

well it's fun arcade with endless round but just add some story to it for every few levels to keep the game engaging, that's how we love retro games..
