Nostalgie-Kick halt hart rein und es macht Spaß. Vor allem die Koop-Pfade sind nice. Auch wenn es meistens nur darum geht, wie man den Anfang überlebt, wird es, sobald der geschafft ist, zeitweise sehr langweilig. Mit dem letzten Update für den Koop-Pfad wurde die Änderung vorgenommen, dass man teilweise eingeschränkt wird, was es deutlich spannender macht. Aber dennoch ist Stronghold einfach geil.

I grew up playing this game, I still have several verbal tics from it to this day. It's perfect, kept the essence of the original while looking sleeker. I also like that i can be a girl lord now C: I appreciate keeping all the voice lines identical to the classic. Thanks Firefly.

Let me tell you something about this absolute masterpiece. I’ve been playing Stronghold Crusader since around 2011. That’s 15 damn years. I’ve changed PCs, graduated, got a job, survived a global pandemic, but this game? This game stays installed forever. If you think modern RTS games are good, you know nothing. This is peak 2002 gaming alchemy. No battleroyale crap, no microtransactions, just raw desert, stone and iron. The Ultimate Ecosystem of Chaos. Economic Perfection: You manage tax, religion, beer, food, and popularity. If you fail, your peasants pack their bags and leave you alone in the desert. The Voice Acting: Absolute god-tier. It’s engraved in my brain forever. The AI Lords: Legendary personalities. The Rat is a joke. The Snake is a coward. The Pig is an absolute unit. And The Wolf? The Wolf will genuinely make you question your life choices at 3 AM. while burning your entire economy to ashes. Why this game is a timeless drug: You start a map. You build a beautiful, efficient castle. You feel like a genius. Suddenly, 50 Arabian Swordsmen breathe on your gatehouse, the Caliph sets your entire farm sector on fire, it's freaking everywhere and your woodcutters are casually walking through an absolute hellfire. Impeccable balance of economy and brutal warfare. Wood stocks are always low. 10/10. Runs perfectly on any toaster. If you have never played this, buy it right now. It costs less than a cup of coffee and will give you thousands of hours of pure, unadulterated dopamine. My bow is yours, Sire.
