„Strange Pong überrascht: trotz meiner schwachen Pong-Skills konnte ich alle 10 Level locker meistern. Coole Items und zwei Bossfights sorgen für Abwechslung – charmant, kurz und machbar!“
Slight variation on the classic game. Quick and easy 100% worth grabbing for free.
This game was so goated!!! I loved hitting 300x shots and winning! #pursuingthepong

It's a good and unique game with mechanics that feel okay to use. A great first game.
I was excited to try Strange Pong because it advertised “various modifiers that affect gameplay” — but in practice, this feature is absolutely broken. Whenever I enable any modifier and then try to turn it off, the game simply does not disable the modifier. The only way to fix it is to completely restart the entire game — no menu option, no workaround, nothing. This is terrible UX and completely unacceptable in 2026. Modifiers are supposed to enhance replay value, but in this case they just ruin your experience. You’ll be stuck with the extra effects forever unless you close the game. That might be somewhat tolerable if everything else was solid — but it isn’t. Major Problems I Encountered Modifiers don’t toggle off This is not a minor cosmetic bug — it fundamentally breaks the promise of customizable gameplay. You are forced to restart the game every time you want normal play again. Glitchy & inconsistent behavior Far too often the ball physics and modifier effects behave unpredictably. It feels unfinished, like mechanics were half-implemented. Cheap “boss fights” feel tacked on Instead of feeling like a thoughtfully crafted challenge, the bosses feel random and sloppy. They rarely feel fair or engaging. Basic features are clunky Menus don’t save settings properly, and remapping controls is confusing and sometimes doesn’t work. Little things like this add up fast. Free doesn’t excuse poor quality Even as a free game it’s not enjoyable when the core systems don’t behave as advertised. There’s an expectation of polish and functionality, especially with the overwhelmingly “very positive” tag — but that simply doesn’t match reality for me.
Not bad! The gameplay remixes were on the mild side, but fun. Having a two-player game mode is a nice cherry on top, making this free game more worthwhile.
