h o l y m o t h e r o f G o d . Oh, where do I even begin? There were so many expectations I had going in after reading that hyped up description. Like, "Oh, a World of Warcraft clone! Surely it can't be THAT bad! I mean, that furry dating sim got so many positive reviews! Why isn't this one doing so well?" So, I entered a username and got going. Here's my documented experience: Five seconds of plot that made no sense. Clicking on a crowd. Killing. Jumping off a roof. Hoping my legs would break. They didnt. Saw a quest. Clicked continue on quest. That's as far as I could go before I lost track of what was going on. All I remember was more crowds and more clicking while uncontrollably walking. Im not here to be unfair to the creators, but, let me put it the way they would: Storm Riders is more than just a game. It's an experience. It's an opportunity to learn. Storm Riders is a perfect example of what not to do when you're creating a game. Storm Riders will teach you just how promising a game can become when presented right, as well as how terrible it can be for a game to not live up to the hype. Storm Riders is what you get when little Timmy has a game idea and actually programs it in his adulthood instead of doing office work like he was destined to do. The game COULD have been better if they just simply introduced you better to the game, and slowed down the gameplay. If they had hired a professional to help write the story aspects, as well as spaced out objectives and simply TOLD YOU WHAT WAS GOING ON, then yeah, this could have been the next big MMORPG. However, they put a five year old in front of a programming software with nothing but a manual on coding and a thesaurus, and that was their downfall. Final rating: 0/10.
