Excellent game, especially on MacOS - until macOS 27 - now it will not load :(

I have always been a huge science-fiction fan, and I have always loved the idea of controlling my own interstellar empire: developing new technologies, building massive fleets, planning long-term strategies, expanding across the galaxy, dealing with other civilizations and, when diplomacy fails, destroying rival empires. Stellaris is probably the game that has come the closest to letting me actually live the kind of science-fiction stories I have always imagined. There are so many possibilities. You can build your empire in completely different ways, focus on technology, military power, diplomacy, exploration, economics, or simply try to dominate the galaxy. You can create alliances, fight enormous wars, discover strange civilizations and ancient mysteries, develop increasingly powerful technologies, and watch your empire evolve over hundreds of years. What I especially love is that every campaign can become its own story. Starting a new game does not simply feel like repeating the previous one. Different empires appear, different events happen, the political situation changes, wars develop differently, and your own choices can completely change how the galaxy evolves. Of course, diplomacy exists, but if what you really want is to build a powerful interstellar civilization, command gigantic fleets, research advanced technology, expand through the stars and occasionally wipe out some hostile aliens, Stellaris gives you plenty of opportunities to do exactly that. If you love science fiction and have ever dreamed of controlling your own galactic empire without playing exactly the same campaign every time, I absolutely recommend Stellaris. For me, it is one of the best games available for creating your own interstellar story.
очень круто играю уже 42 часа на 1 сохранении
Honestly, reviewing stellaris is hard. It is clear from my playtime I have had a ton of fun with the game, but I hesitate to recommend this for a few reasons. The first is that the game is copmpletely unplayable for new players or without the various dlcs. There are systems added onto systems added onto systems and the ai is not good enough to work witrh the various psosible combo's of DLC. The second is the the sheer amount of events added. More isn't always better. Every single system explored now has at least 3 anomaly chains. In this case less is absolutely more. Back when I first playerd this game these anomalies happened occasionally, which allows you to have the time to read through it and get a feeling like you are exploring. Currently I have on average 7 pop-ups happening on my screen during the exploration phase. It has gotten so bad I no longer even read the title of the anomaly, let alone the text. The sense of wonder or my interest in the unique story for a new playthrough has been thoroughly quashed. Third: performance. Still. or again garbage. Fourth; AI. It's kind of ♥♥♥♥. But somehow even the parts that kind of did work are now broken. Automatic exploration used to just work. Let a ship loose on one end of your empire and off it goes to explore. Now for some reason it decides to do one system on one end of my empire beofre flying to the other side and doing 1 system before flying back. Repeat. Nevermind that it takes the ship several in game years to do this. How did the devs even ♥♥♥♥ this up? Fifth: Nomads. The Nomad DLC fundamentaly breaks every single written rule in the game. Borders are invoiliable without a war declaration. Except for Nomads. Resources claimed by one faction can't be taken without war, except by Nomads. Ships can be prevented from passing through your space, except for Nomads. The accompanying faction it added to the game is also garbage and doesn't fit the rest of the game. Somehow the addition of Nomads also broke the AI for the Great Khan mid-game crisis and it now kind of gets stuck, wonders around randomly and generally stopped making sense. Fifth: Basic UI and QOL options. The game has been out for years now. Instead of adding more useless fluff, sit down and fix performance, fix stuff like the trade menu... How is transfering systems still this bad. Why do I not get a pop-up when my vassal decides to suicide against a fanatical purifier. How come they even can when they don't have independent diplomacy. Why don't I get a notification when one of their planets is rebelling? I don't need another 20 anomalies, I need to know about the stuff happening to my space empire. Overall the current experience is about a 6/10, where it once was a 8.5/10. Only get it if you have friends who already play and are willing to help you learn. Don't bother trying the basse game, it's a mess at this point because the devs just assume you have dlc.
Do yourself a favor, invest some time like an hour or two into watching a guide and familarising yourself with all the menus. You will be addicted. This game is like crack, you will completely lose track fo time.
one of the very best 4x games on the market-hands down!
