Steam Link

from my owned games. games that HAVE a phone app. or games that are northigng but click and drag weren't available. yet it thought Psychonauts was an acceptable game to play on a tablet screen. i decided to start up peggle to try it out. since that game normally only requires you to point and click. a white empty box popped up. it locked my mouse to a square 1/3th of my screen. it spawned 20+ "Fatal error" messages in my peggle on the taskbar. i had to reboot my pc by holding down the power button. so no. i do not recommend

Jeg modtog ALDRIG et komplet sæt, så vi var tvunget til at spille med et kabel sat i Streame Linket. Mit manglede KUN den lille usb-dongle til at kunne lave et trådløst sæt, men donglens "docking-holder" fulgte med af en eller anden årsag. Og efter hvad jeg har hørt så blevet der ikke solgt flere Steam controllere + Steam Links da det er så populært som først forventet.

Make sure you have a capable computer and Great 5ghz internet and it was perfect. Anything less and it's probably better to run a long HDMI cable. Wish I had bought a second. Gone but never forgotten.

I bought the Steam Link when it was first released many years ago. I set it up in my studio flat (a single room), it was kinda pointless, so I packed it away. However, recently I thought I'd give it another go now I am in a bigger property. Using "Powerline Adapters" the Ethernet connection is flawless! Wifi is OK but wired is the way to go. Despite being in a completely separate room I am able to game on my sofa with the controller of my choice. It even turns the TV on when I press the controller. If only my rig had WoL. Next upgrade...

Steam Link Love&Hate It is kind of hard, to rate Steam Link, because it is not only a hardware, but a variety of apps on different platforms and devices. ios app is 5 stars for me: connect via. 5ghz and play. As long as you a in range it works like a charm. Steam Link hardware via LAN is the same. Although it isnt sold anymore, i still use it, even it is only full hd. But it is completely reliable and i love Valve for still supporting it with updates. In combination with the steamcontroller, in my opinion it is still the best option for roundbased strategy games an rpgs. But there is another reason, because i still use it: Steamlink app on Chromecast with google tv / or directly on my Philips PUS55 7181/12 is a total failure in my opinion. While CCWGTV is able to provide a very good 4k experience with stadia, it is not even close to a playable experience with steam link., not even with full hd. On the Philips it does not matter, if it is connected via 5ghz or LAN, it is equaly unplayable due to stutters and input lag. And no: the cause for this is not my (high end) pc. Maybe i am a little naive, but i cannot understand, why a cloudservice like stadia runs perferctly fine on the CCWGTV while steam link does not. My question to the community is: Do you guys run steam link app with a modern samsung tv (i read that samsung certified their tvs for steam link, and that the cooperate with valve). So: How is your experience with steam link on samsung tvs? Does it manage to stream 4k games (with a capable pc as a prequisite) and provide a good playable experience?
