About
You are a pilot of space fighter, a small but destructive space ship, fully armed with plasma guns and missiles. Your carrier, Zvezda is cut behind enemy lines and through ten missions, you and your team try to strike back at merciless enemy.
Missions consist of defending your carrier, flying reconnaissance missions and destroying enemy capital ships.
Typical mission starts with briefing, where you will learn about mission. Than you will take off from carrier and will then navigate (hyper jump) from waypoint to waypoint. At each way point, you are expected to clear enemy presence and defend our capital ships. Typically, you will fly with a group of wingmen.
Games is best to be played with a joystick, since game is quite demanding, at least at high difficulty. Joystick adds much fun into gameplay. It is strictly single player, with emphasis on flying and fighting and not on trading, building or strategy.
Game uses AUTOCENTER so it automatically tracks enemies - if you don't have a joystick, this is a must!
Game has just been upgraded:
- many bug fixes
- two fighters to choose from
- gameplay, fights
- added missiles
- improved campaign
Default keys:
M- missile
Left ctrl - guns
J - jump
C - communications
T - target enemy
F - target friendly
W,S - throttle ( or joystick throttle)
Tab - turbo (or mouse wheel or joystick throttle)
Arrow keys - rotate (or mouse or joystick)
space - center on target

The game is okay and playable BUT you can't save your game. All you can do is keep playing missions which are different. I have not played to the bitter end to see if there is an ending or not.

Update1.2 2024-09-03 As of today, i'm happy to report that CPU & GPU wattage have stabilized at 23W and 35W at 30 fps limit (Chill mode) respectively regardless of resolution at the hangar based on RX-560 hardware telemetry. At 60 fps it will definitely increase but that may be only needed while actually flying in intense combat situations. It appears that the game doesn't keep nor apply the graphics settings; it depends on desktop resolution and GPU driver app. Important thing is that wattage has stabilized at idle. That's all for now. More updates later after i've actually played this. Score increased to 6/10 at the moment. Update1.1 About CPU usage and temp; that is apparently normal after observing other games. Fluctuations and temp are normal except that it was running at 3200 MHz instead of 3750 MHz as per most other games but then other games run the CPU hotter at about 50 °C. About the auto switch to desktop; i remembered that i have a 3D text screen saver running, so that's probably the reason it auto-switched to desktop. More updates later. Addendum to Update1 I forgot to mention that the game alt-tabbed to desktop all by itself twice while it was idling at the main menu. Update 1 After about 10 mins idling at the main menu, GPU wattage ranges between 43 - 53W, not 30+ as initially mentioned, perhaps i didn't recall correctly the first time. GPU temperature slowly rose 42 - 44 °C and CPU temp rose from 46 - 48 °C. The temps were still rising albeit very slowly while the wattage fluctuations were reduced. Perhaps the fans need cleaning of dust at this time. Also something that might have contributed to CPU temps rising is maybe because currently i've restricted it to 2 cores and 2 threads. However i noticed that the CPU % usage is also slightly increasing over time idling between 40 - 60 %, something i never bothered to observe before. IMO i don't think it should reach 60 % at idle because it leaves only 40% headroom for actual play. I'm gonna increase the core count at the next reset. More updates later. First review below Game refuses to change resolution that i chose in the graphics option in the first run, 720p; it defaults to 1440 x 900 after restart. Additionally it refuses to set limits to fps which i specified as monitor limit. As a result, when i'm in the options screen, the wattage increased from about 30 W to over 100 W in a about 30 s but strangely the resolution is actually 720 p and fps is 60 according to MSI afterburner. Something seems to be happening in the background that is not indicative of the displayed system metrics causing the temperatures to gradually increase and the GPU & CPU fans to rev to the max. Maybe it's just a bug in the graphic option screen because it seems stable in the main menu. So i had to exit again because i don't want my PC to overheat and consume excessive power. I'll try again, avoiding the graphics option and see if the performance sticks to what i had chosen. Will be updating this if there is a stable positive improvement. Currently 5/10.
