About
Stardust Rain is a 2.5D anime fighting game built on one idea: momentum. Attack velocity stacks with every hit you connect, so a string plays out differently the deeper you push it. Win an exchange and the pace climbs with you, until your opponent finds a way to break it.
The year is 2431. A supernatural phenomenon has swept the world, and its power now sits in the hands of a new generation of fighters.

In most fighting games a combo plays out the way you practiced it. Here, attack velocity stacks with every hit you connect, so the same string behaves differently the deeper into it you get. You can't run your routes on autopilot. You have to read what's happening and adjust mid-fight.
That makes it a game about reaction more than memorization. Execution still has a ceiling and there's plenty of room to chase it, but fights come down to how well you respond, not how many inputs you've drilled.

Skills - Directional specials with simple inputs. If you can play a platform fighter, you'll feel right at home.
Advance Techniques - Traditional motion input specials for players who want them. Not every fighter has them, and the ones who do play differently for it.
Renga Rush - Close the distance, extend a combo into something the game didn't hand you, or escape pressure that should have finished you. The tool that turns a losing exchange into your exchange.
Star Skills and Star Spark - Every fighter carries a Star Spark, and it shapes what they can do. Fighters who share a Star Spark have access to the same Star Skills, so learning one teaches you something about another.

Online matches run on rollback netcode, so what happens on your screen is what happens in the match. No input delay, no rubberbanding, no wondering whether you lost to your opponent or your connection.
