Eveything that should be good in this game is mediocre at best... Fights are are spectacular but boring, repetitive and simply not challanging (even on hard difficulty). We have few nice and fresh ideas but not used to their full potential. Especially bounding mechanism that have zero impact outside of combat. Zero company Its just avarage at best... disapointing
Its no Xcom but its alright 7/10 if youre into Star wars.
PEAK Company. Takes some of the best parts of XCOM and adds a Star Wars flair to them. Story is great and the characters are charming. The only problem is that you'll feel rushed to get through it, as the game uses the limited resources it gives you in order to sell the "barelly scraping by" mercenary feel. I'm looking forward to see what modders can do with it, since it has the potential to get something like the Long War for XCOM2.

Pew pew!
Probably the best Star wars game since KOTOR.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this game. I don't think it's as strategically dense as something like XCOM, but I think given the strong narrative, voice acting and overall production values, as a whole the game is able to stand on its own. I found myself pretty invested in the characters, and I found the ending to be very satisfying. Given my pretty powerful rig, I didn't really have any performance issues or crashing. I did have to restart missions from time to time when the game logic would kind of “park” and turns wouldn't finish. There is some jank with the camera going all over the place. The game could definitely use some polish in those areas. The game looks fantastic, and if you want you can download and install the Ultra+ mod to squeeze a bit more fidelity out of the game. I also replaced the DLSS dll’s and streamline with the latest variants. The HDR presentation in the game is rather competent, and if you want to eek out a bit more you can install the RenoDX Unreal Extended addon. I will note, most of my time playing this was from the comfort of my bed while streaming my computer to my steam deck oled. I found even at 1280x800 the UI was perfectly readable. This was a great way to play after the kids had fallen asleep. As few hours each night so as to not get burnt out. I honestly cannot wait for a follow up. It would be cool if you could import your save from this campaign into a sequel to pick up where you left off with your companions. Go buy the game if you haven't already!
Honestly only worthwhile game besides Fallen Order and Survivor tbh, it really is just Xcom 2.5, likable cast of characters which is rare these days, a certain enemy group has an annoying mechanic that you have to watch every time it happens which is annoying. Is this a genre changing game no not even close, does it do what it sets out to do properly, yes it does, Xcom fans give it a shot
It's great! It still has some of the weird performance bugs that you see in XCOM but otherwise it's a great game. If you like XCOM (or any strategy game) and/or Star Wars, then you will love this game. I hope EA continues to support this title and add additional content.
Star wars meets x-com and its done increadably well. Absolutly loved most of the characters and voice acting was brilliant.
