Zero Company has been a pleasant surprise so far. The game runs smoothly, performs well, and delivers a fun, engaging experience without technical hiccups. I’m genuinely enjoying my time with it, and based on the performance and overall feel, I’d recommend giving it a try.
GOTY 2026 for me! Gameplay was gripping and I was excited to start every new mission. Characters were original and very likeable. I grew attached to my generated operators as much as the original ones. The writing was very good and believable. Loved the bond system, the intel earning, the credits rationing, all of it! If there will be a DLC or a sequel, consider me in 100% !!! On the other hand, the second half of the game could use some tweaking. Empire only provided a single enemy type - a stormtrooper. There was room for an AT-ST or an AT-RT... The final boss was too easy - took her down in the first round, before she did her move. Typhon was the only challenge in the second half of the game. I experienced some FPS drops in the cutscenes on a high-end PC and several long loading rounds after enemy movements but nothing game-breaking and nothing a few patches can't fix.

It's Xcom, but Star Wars! Biggest positives: The story is fairly self-contained and fits into the well-established lore while still hitting on important story beats. The game plays like Xcom! Game balance seems nice where ever class has a niche. Biggest negatives: The game is on a forced timer, it will end in 40 missions. This doesn't feel great, I wish the game followed Xcom's lead where the enemy just got stronger and stronger if you delayed. The game is a bit easy on normal mode. Game performance is awful absolutely needs help.
Zero Company is a very welcome sight for the Star Wars franchise. It isn't complicated and through as XCOM series but delivers its goal quite well. Tells a fairly good written story and maintain a balanced gameplay. Characters are quite unique and well written. Character creation and customization items are cool. It's a shame the greedy corp didn't give its developers the recognition and rewards they deserved.
Recommend! + Haven't had any significant issues. + Occasionally the camera doesn't do what I want it to do. + Works great with a controller. + Decent, not great looking. + Stiff acting. + While a Star Wars IP it doesn't hit you over the face with it constantly. You know the rest : Basic XCOM style game play, mixed with cinematics, and some 3rd person segments exploring small areas and your home base.
The navigation segments are extremely pointless and feel jarring, and I wish they'd leaned harder into the unique character side of the game, but overall it's a great xcom-style tactics game, easy 7/10 even if you don't give a damn about the stars war.
Amazing game!
Haven't gotten to play a fun Star Wars game in awhile. This was a refreshing game to play.
