rinse and repeat, copy and paste. thats what comes to mind when i play. effort went into the map that much is obvious, diologue, characters etc are good. but its obvious the devs gave up.

30 minutes of glitches, bad UI, slow movement, and way too many inactive npcs to be called "open world". Hard pass.
Played for 48 minutes, in that time the graphics failed to load in three times. Meant I fell out of the map, or ended up running around outside of the play area.
Where to begin... This is NOT a stealth game at all. Speeders drive like you're drunk. The protagonist is way too cocky for how utterly terrible she is at her "job". You can't move downed bodies to avoid triggering the NPCs. Reliance on Nix is too damn high. The enemies are infinite!!! The stun function on the blaster takes an age to recharge, but you can pretty much infinitely fire the regular blaster. I wanted to enjoy this. I had it on my wishlist for a long time. I got it at a steep discount, and I'm grateful I didn't spend more than $8 USD on it. I want my money back, but it took too long to find out how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is. Don't bother. Watch a Let's Play and save yourself some money.
As a lifelong gamer and Star Wars fan, I wanted to love Star Wars Outlaws. Unfortunately, this game feels like a massive missed opportunity. The most significant problem is that it's simply boring. The story is repetitive, predictable, and never manages to create the sense of adventure that makes Star Wars special. Despite taking place in one of the most beloved universes in entertainment, there were many times when I barely felt like I was playing a Star Wars game at all. The main character is another major issue. I found her difficult to connect with and largely unlikable. A game built around a single protagonist needs players to care about that character, and for me, that connection never happened. The gameplay doesn't help matters. Navigation is frustrating, the map is difficult to read and use effectively, and basic movement around the world often feels unintuitive. Instead of immersing the player, many of the game's systems seem to get in the way of the experience. Then there's the companion creature, which feels almost entirely useless. What should have been a fun and memorable gameplay feature rarely added anything meaningful to my experience. What makes this disappointment even worse is the amount of potential on display. An open-world Star Wars game should have been an easy win. The setting, the universe, and the possibilities are all there, but the final product feels bland, uninspired, and forgettable. I cannot recommend Star Wars Outlaws to anyone. Ubisoft and Lucasfilm Games had an incredible opportunity to deliver something special and instead produced a game that feels underdeveloped, uninspired, and surprisingly dull. Star Wars fans deserved better.
Really wanted to enjoy this game. Love Star Wars and own literally every other Star Wars game. Unfortunately it ran like garbage on my steam deck. I played maybe 20 minutes and decided to try my pc. RAN WORSE ON MY PC. Total Ubi-slop. Disappearing characters, textures that never load, sound glitches, controller glitches, falling through floors, entire lighting systems that fail to load, and more. I had an entire room full of characters and furniture not load until I had been standing there for like 3 minutes. And when everything finally loaded, I found myself impossibly stuck behind geometry and had to reload and play the beginning of the game for like the 4th time. The game never shuts down properly and can only crash. Controls work sometimes. The loading times range from 10 to 30 minutes just to get the game launched and started. So even though I've played maybe 40-70 minutes mostly troubleshooting, my playtime reads 3.5 hours and now I may not qualify for a refund. Even worse I bought all the pointless DLC. I hate this game. I hate ubisoft. And I hate what the games industry has become.
Really solid Star Wars game! Deserves a sequel!
