It was on sale so I gave it a try... Honestly, based on the 3 hours I played it's an okay game, and definitely one of their better games, but that's a VERY low bar to pass considering the average Ubisoft game deserves a 4/10 score... In 2026 after all the patches and bug fixing they have done, Star Wars Outlaw might be a 7/10 game, but ONLY if you are a massive Star Wars fan. If you are NOT a Star Wars fanboy, this game will feel like a 5/10and honestly the beautiful look of the game is what pulls it up to a 5... If you take away the Star Wars aestetics and graphics, the gameplay is SO dull and boring. I picked the 2nd hardest difficulty to make the game just a bit more "realistic", since I know Ubisoft tend to dumb'ify the NPCs in their games. But even then, the combat felt like I was being treated like I was a 12 year old kid who had never played a shooting game in my life. The NPCs are nearly blind, and are no challenge at all to a point where I would categorize Star Wars Outlaws as a "casual game" alongside a game like The Sims. Because you can just switch off your brain, and follow the golden waypoint on your compas without putting much energi into the gameplay, and still BLAST through the story. And the world in the game... feels... SOOOO dead and soulless.... The problem with Ubisoft games is that they feel... I think "corporate" is my best word for it... Ubisoft has a way of making these extremely beautiful looking games with MASSIVE open worlds... and then when you start playing them you start wondering "why does it feel so empty?...". And why do they try SO HARD to push Battle Passes or make me spend more money every time I open the game... ':D again... it's this greedy corporate Ubisoft feeling every game they produce have... Soulless games made for profit. I had about 18 euro to spend on a game to enjoy for the weekend, and I was deciding between Star Wars Outlaw or Dave the Diver... And I decided to give this game the benefit of the doubt... But I have now requested a refund.

I don't get the hate this game receives. I had a lot of fun with it. It's not perfect, but the world is great, and it's a very enjoyable Star Wars game with plenty of unique gameplay mechanics.

Star wars outlaws might be one of the most overhated games ever. Gamers nowadays think either a game is a masterpiece or a game is trash just by looking at some youtube videoes who point point out the female chracter isnt sexy enough to goon to. Does this game has flaws, it sure does and i am sure the release version had even more flaws but to me it was a very entertaining journey. almost all of the misssions take place in some unique location unlike other ubisoft games. and the fan service isnt on the nose like some other tie in video games. all 4 planets are beutiful and i like how all of them have something unique to distinguish themselves from each other, my favorite being tattoine as the first movie takes place there. the two dlcs are even better than the main game. lando and hondo onaka being such charming and entertaining cast. i also really like playing sabacc although its a bit too easy after you do the first dlc. overall an great time. not to self : dont listen to youtubers blindly.
