0.9/10 - Something smells fishy about these reviews! I simply don't understand it. This game has mixed reviews? The most helpful reviews are all positive?! INSANE!! Old. Ugly trash. I spent 90% trying to create a career. The other 10% was racing. Everything was going good on the first lap; I was thinking positive things... Then I realized my car was unresponsive somewhat. I took my hands off the keyboard and the car continues to drive and compensate for my errors. WTF. Can't believe this is $10. Don't buy this. That moment when you think you're drifting then you spin out of control.
This game is absolute junk. Impossible to set up a controller and overall very glitchy. I wasn't looking for much, and despite that it disappoints.
Good
tl;dr even die hard race fans should save your money I don't leave reviews very often but this needs said on a game like this. I watched this game for years, wanting to catch it on sale and I did. Even for a dollar this game still isn't worth it. I have a Logitech racing wheel and three different controllers and none of them work with this game no matter how much I tinker with the drivers and settings. The game and settings looke like they are from an early PS2 game, just awful. This game looks like a butcherd console port. The only option with this game is a mouse and keyboard and you don't want to play a game like this with those sort of controls. Completely defeats the purpose. It's a shame because I'm a really big racing fan and I adore World of Outlaws. Even if the controls and graphics were terrible I still would have probably liked a game like this. But they don't even work. This is one of those 10+ year old console ports that's totally broken and abondoned and steam refuses to do anything about it. Save your money for a racing game that at least funcions.
Awesome Game , If you were a fan of DTR , Dirt Track Racing 1 and 2 , World Of Outlaws Sprint Cars , and the 2002 World Of Outlaws Sprint Cars for PS2. This was basically the last entry of that DIRT SERIES. Well worth $10 I Spent. This game does accept gaming controllers , I'm using a Generic PS4 Controller with No ISSUES. Windows 10 4GB. IT ROCKS.
This game may have been great 20 years ago but to charge US$10 for it in 2017 is utter rubbish. It would have looked great on the original Atari back in the 80's, but in 2017 on a triple monitor setup the titles are almost unreadible. I mean it. I can barely read the menus at 6000 x 1080. I cannot believe that Steam would offer this game for sale and this now makes me doubt other Steam games in the library. I honestly feel a bit ripped off. This will teach me not to automatically trust Steam but to look harder at the offerings, as Steam obviously doesn't.
This is a very old 3D racing game for fans of the old dirt track sprint cars, midgets and so on. Drive a smallish selection of racecars around circular dirt tracks. There's arcade and career modes. The career mode lets you upgrade cars and hire various race drivers, and compete for cash. Unfortunately this is very dated, the interface is horrible (sometimes the mouse will work, other times you have to use the keyboard). There's no proper support for controllers either, so people with racing wheels can't use them in this racing game. While 4K resolution is there, the interface assets seem like they're stuck in 640x480. Charging $14.50 for this ancient artefact is just not acceptable.
Do Not Buy NO!!!!!WHEEL SUPPORT(NO Racing Wheel Will Work For This Game)This Game Isnt Even Worth It For A DieHard Race Fan
I played this quite a bit back on my ps2, it's a good game, but you have to set the exe to windows xp service pack 2 to get it to run
