A coming-of-(m)age story with optional romance and multiple endings, Spellbound: The Magic Within is a diverse and inclusive visual novel that’s engaging from start to finish. It’s lacking some quality of life tools which can make replaying it tedious but it’s still an entertaining alternative to the big wizarding worlds and a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
Just a cute little queer game, but too short and pretty shallow for it's price, only did one path which took less than an hour but given the story and minor focus on the relationships, I can't imagine each being too different beyond which character accompanies you more often than not and what sort of minor spells you will occasionally cast.
Enchanting art style and loveable characters -- I'm having so much fun getting to know all the tutors and it's so hard to pick my favorite. Definitely hits the feeling of a magical awakening and I am in love with all the cute creatures. As usual, spent way too long in the character builder -- so many cute options! Worth your time to play through. So happy to be able to support this studio.
I originally played the demo for Spellbound: The Magic Within at WASD and couldn't wait for release day! I've played through once so far and really enjoyed the story and interaction. I love the characters and creatures, and how inclusive and diverse the game is overall. The art style is cute, with a super relaxing soundtrack. Looking forward to playing through again soon and seeing what different paths I can take. Definitely one I'd love to have on my Nintendo Switch one day as well for cosy gaming on the sofa! :D
